Modular Shelving for Micro-Living Posted: 31 Jul 2014 09:19 AM PDT Fläpps is a modular shelving system without rules! It’s designed to give the user creative freedom to create their own style, even in small spaces. Each module is a stand-alone shelf that can be combined with others. A unique wall mounting mechanism effortlessly permits up to 5 vertically stacked shelves. Unfolded, it offers endless storage applications from the office to the kitchen and nearly disappears into the surrounding wall when not in use! Designer: Malte Grieb - Related posts: |
Posted: 31 Jul 2014 07:43 AM PDT Most kids these days are so addicted to their gadgets that they have forgotten what it is to spend some time frolicking in the park. Climbing walls, swinging on monkey bars and playing on the seesaw are a distant memory. To bridge the gap with technology, the Rocking Pad brings back the charm in playtime. It integrates reality and virtual-reality to develop a new way to play.

Posted: 31 Jul 2014 07:18 AM PDT The Future hunter-gatherer’ is a device that quite literally gets you to start cooking with a virtual hunt in your kitchen. Allow me to explain; this is a device that recreates a holographic experience of sourcing ingredients, right in your kitchen. You can shop from a holographic supermarket or a fish market and get food delivered to your doorstep. You can even use the device to play a pleasant hunting, fishing or farming game, depending on your culinary expertise and dietary needs. In a nutshell, 'The Future hunter-gatherer’ takes you back to the roots of hunting, farming and gathering via a virtual experience. So while you gain knowledge about how our ancestors sourced food, you get fresh produce delivered home. This concept is a part of the 2014 Top 35 Shortlisted entries of the Electrolux Design Lab Competition. Designer: Pan Wang - Related posts: |
Posted: 31 Jul 2014 12:01 AM PDT Just like clothes and shoes, the average children’s bike must be replaced as little ones get bigger, but Miilo is a training cycle that grows up with the kid that rides it! After they’ve mastered the basics and grown taller, simply disassemble the frame and flip it upside down to create a more suitable ride for their new skills and size. The other essential components are also extendable, making it easy to convert from a tike-size trainer to single-gear in a flash. Better yet, kids will have more confidence riding the “same” bike they’ve been accustomed to! Designer: Andreas Bhend - Related posts: |
Posted: 31 Jul 2014 12:01 AM PDT The compact Mirex food mixer was designed to combat decreasing kitchen sizes within the home. Despite its small size, the mixing bowl retains a substantial four liters thanks to a unique combination of compact pancake motor and novel pulley system to drive two linear whisks. This allows for a vertical, slim silhouette and overall size reduction that save valuable counter space and make storing away easy. Designer: Liam Stansfield - Related posts: |
