Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 11 Jul 2014 07:13 AM PDT Though their climates may differ, most areas of the world experience some form of seasonal change. The Peaked Hat Lighting Shade is inspired by the way our clothing/fashion changes between these seasons and offers a similar idea for interior spaces. Ranging from flowery prints for spring to warm felt material for winter, the light shades use a simple zipper and are easily interchangeable depending on the time of year! Posted: 11 Jul 2014 05:03 AM PDT The U-Bubble is a refrigerator that can be suspended in air and is inspired by the soap bubbles that we love so much. It's basically this plastic construction that is temperature controlled and works with your smart devices. Like most advanced apps, it relays critical food info like quality and freshness state. With the social aspect you can compare food habits and trade recipes with friends.
U-Bubble is a 2014 Electrolux Design Lab short-listed entry. Designer: 成荫 张 - Related posts: |
Posted: 11 Jul 2014 12:01 AM PDT The nature of a gas mask has a negative connotation as it is, but in this example it’s used as a tool with psychological coping during emergency situations. It’s called the Social Gas Mask, and its large eyepieces, cheeky filters and small mouth opening work together to offer an empowering image and positive experience. It facilitates better communication between individuals spending time together in a stressful situation. It’s as friendly as a gas mask could be! Designer: Zlil Lazarovich - Related posts: |
Posted: 11 Jul 2014 12:01 AM PDT The Oblio faucet is entirely different than any you’ve seen, yet just as intuitive to use! Its fluid form mimics that of liquid, reducing visual weight with its compact dimensions. Though complex in appearance, its striking aesthetic is balanced by straightforward functionality. Ideal for dual sinks, the system consists of not one, but two hoses for distinct uses: aPVC section for precision rinsing and a rigid steel section for a stable flow. At the center is a single multidirectional block that controls both pressure & temp of both sides independently. Designer: Davide Lombardi - Related posts: |
