Posted: 16 Jul 2014 09:06 AM PDT Anyone who works in the audio/sound industry has heard of the Sennheiser HD25-1 headphones; they’re the professionals choice, but have yet to break into the consumer market due to their overtly utilitarian & basic appearance. Cyprium is an exploration into how these high-end headphones could win the hearts of consumers and audiophiles with styling that’s worthy of Sennheiser’s unrivaled audio quality, background noise isolation and robustness. And win your heart they will! See em up close —> The basis of the new design is a pressed copper band which the remaining components attach to. The way the band cradles the cups allows them to freely rotate and conform precisely to the listener’s head. The cups can also be popped out of the copper band, a feature when combined with the removable magnetic foam ear pads allows simple repair and customization without the need for tools. This refinement of existing functionality through a minimal and considered approach to design helps to bridge the gap between professionals and consumer for these fantastic sounding headphones. Apple iPhone 6 – Unmasking Yet Another Concept Posted: 16 Jul 2014 08:00 AM PDT Some of the rumors surrounding the iPhone 6 are: a range of 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches screen, durable sapphire display, slimmer bezel, thinner chassis and 128GB storage capacity. While we still have to wait for the real announcement, lets take a look at yet another Apple iPhone 6 Concept phone that looks groovy. Designers: Tomas Moyano & Nicolàs Aichino - Related posts: |
Posted: 16 Jul 2014 02:30 AM PDT The Dynamo is a fabric sterilizer that syncs with the everyday lifestyle of its user. It's a small handy washing machine for one to three garments, which works on Kinetic Energy. You simply load the machine and wind it up. As it slowly winds down (in a bouncing motion), it steam-washes the laundry batch, making you save on resources like water, electricity, money and time. In fifteen minutes flat, you have freshly laundered clothes and good to go!

Posted: 16 Jul 2014 12:01 AM PDT Contrast is key in the design of this versatile piece called Flab, usable for everything from media storage to book organization. Thick antiqued spruce slabs meet thin wood-fiber panels and even thinner tempered glass in a unique mix of textures, colors and sizes that together compliment its irregular geometry. Posted: 16 Jul 2014 12:01 AM PDT The M-Velope is one in a series of functional art structures designed to function as retreats in which to escape from the norm. Varying in size & shape, they’re made mostly of sustainable grown wood colored with environmentally friendly stains or paints. In every case, the design of the M-Velopes are generated from simpler forms that are subdivided, hinged together, & folded in or out of the original form in order to create unexpected transformations. As cool as they are on the outside, they’re even cozier inside! Take a peak —> The one shown here is approximately twelve feet tall, twelve feet wide, & twenty feet long. The basic structure can be made larger, and/or the space inside can be increased by joining units together. The slotted panels, support frame, floor, and ramps all break down for shipping and can be reassembled almost anywhere with little or no foundation, depending on the site specific requirements.
