Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 14 May 2012 01:11 AM PDT Smart Angle is a visual aid for flame control on a gas stove. While cooking Chinese food, the hot Wok and ingredients are not the only thing you need to have a control over. The heat or the flame of the gas is the other key element you need to keep an eye on. The conventional way to control the flame is to bend at the waist and peek at the burner and then set the flame. Smart Angle eliminates this dangerous step by using refraction. As the designers explain, Smart Angle helps the user to be more intuitive at controlling the flame while cooking. It prevents occupational disease that might occur in the long term; example: back and waist injuries. Designers: Hsu Sean & Yih-Wenn Luo - Related posts: |
Posted: 14 May 2012 01:01 AM PDT This awesome timepiece by designer Adam Nagy combines the functionality of a clock and fitness pulse monitor into a minimal watch design that will tell you the time and your heart’s beats per minute in a really cool way. Hours and minutes as well as your heart rate are displayed on the screen exactly like an EKG graph! Just don’t freak out when the battery runs out and it flatlines! Posted: 14 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT YoungGun Cho’s dockTRAY for the iphone 4 and 4S provides an eco-friendly solution for docking your iPhone. The multifunctional solid birch wood piece holds the phone upright while it’s being charged but with its hollow sound cavity it won’t muffle the speakers when music is being played. Additional storage space for pens and other items also make it a great desktop organizational tool. Designer: YoungGun Cho - Related posts:

Posted: 14 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT Coming from a coastal city, where excess of humidity (even in winters) is the problem, I simply can't relate to the fuss around a humidifier. Oh well, if it means that much to you, have a look at this cute concept called Nature Pot. It is a charming humidifier that integrates into your interior setup as a flower vase. Peacefully sitting atop your work desk or home, that moist sunny flower will sure make your day! Designer: Jeong Yong - Related posts: |
Posted: 14 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT I love a design that takes inspiration from a familiar fragment to stimulate the viewer’s memory and imagination. Lamp Fire is one of these creative concepts and is reminiscent of the campfires that many of us experienced as children. It’s a clever way of enjoying campfire conversations from the comfort of home!
