| A’ Design Awards & Competition – Last Call for Entries Posted: 17 Feb 2014 07:48 AM PST A’ Design Awards & Competition is for designers, innovators and companies that want the world and their peers to acknowledge their designer brilliance. The awards offers intense publicity to award winning designs. One of the missions of the awards is to bring together designers, companies and the press. You can participate in categories as diverse as Furniture, Packaging, Lighting, Digital and Electronic Devices, Energy Products and Home Appliance Designs amongst others. Here are some of the benefits of participating in the A’ Design Awards & Competition:
Expect your designs to be judged by an international jury panel of academics, design professionals and press members. Almost 50 pair of eyes will put your design under the scanner and only a select few make it above the mark.

I still recollect those glory days when I used to solve math equations to the beats of U2 and Police. Somehow music helped me zone in and focus on those numbers. I'm sure many of you like to work with something strumming in the background, Le Pen takes an innovative approach towards that. Designer: Yang Shuai

| Posted: 17 Feb 2014 12:30 AM PST It's the current norm to have smart watches hook up with smartphones via Bluetooth, however they are limited by their display size. The Watch-Me has extended display up to 20mm x 140mm and with gyroscope sensor installation. The accompanying video explains how this concept works and I am sold on it. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these babies and try them on….have a look…. Designer: Kwan Yoo

It hosts the design cues of the old including the mechanical sensibilities and operations. It's the prefect marriage of digital with analog, what do you think? Designer: Sang-nam Park

| Posted: 17 Feb 2014 12:01 AM PST The Pill Watch is an innovative way to ensure that you don't forget to take your pills on time. It even has a small compartment to store the tablet. I suppose you can keep it as an emergency backup pill or the real deal. The watch is capable of measuring the pulse rate, which is a good add-on. Designer: Jingyu Lee
