LIFX is a Kickstarter project that has gained huge momentum for promising to reinvent the light bulb. In fact, they raised over 6 times (over $600’000) their initial financial goal.

To make it short, LIFX is a smart lightbulb that you can control with your iPhone or Android device. I will not list all the features here, but they are quite impressive.

However, there can be some downsides to it, such as people hacking your Wifi network and playing your lights.
