Posted: 07 Nov 2011 01:11 AM PST A quick fix to great coffee on the go is the Spoonin. It's a coffee mix sachet where the stirrer is fashioned from the sealing seam of the package. I like it for its hygienic option, plus a person like me always carried my brand of instant fix on travels. This packaging can come handy as individual sachets to carry. Spoonin is a 2011 iF concept design entry. Designer: Maria Rho, Juhyeon Lee & Jinhyuk Rho ---------- |
Posted: 07 Nov 2011 01:01 AM PST Socket Like Brick allows you to configure and create a modular multi tap as per convenience. Extend or remove modules safely, moreover accommodate the different sized plugs with ease. It basically provides a good solution to the managing devices; my only fear is that people shouldn't go overboard with the configurations. Maybe if one of the modules can be a circuit breaker that indicates overload. What do you think? Designer: Chih-Yao Chen ---------- |
Posted: 07 Nov 2011 12:11 AM PST The VJ CAM is specifically designed for video journalists, but I think most of us can benefit from it. The idea is to cut down the crew who handle the videography…mostly due to the current recession. The camcorder is built as modules and can be configured in a manner that suits the journalist. Each function is contained within a different module and the modules can be simply connected and interchanged according the requirements. For example the handle is an individual module, which can be positioned wherever it fits personal ergonomics best. The display is placed as a foldaway “hood” above the lens. An interesting concept that may work for the industry, what do you think? Designer: Matthias Kestel ---------- |
Posted: 07 Nov 2011 12:01 AM PST And I love it too! The USB Watch is a simple way of carrying your memory stick in style. A 10-minute romp with the computer charges it enough to tell you the correct time for a week. What's more, every time you hook it up it syncs in automatically with the computer's time. The LED display shows you the current memory status at the touch of a button. I think it's a clever integration of functionality and utility.
