Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 06 Aug 2014 09:27 AM PDT I’m all for a funky helmet design, especially when funky means enhanced functionality! The C-THROUGH helmet’s far-out aesthetic isn’t just for looks. Designed for wet weather, its layered rear scales maximize ventilation, the wide jaw section directs exhalation away from the double-paned visor to prevent fogging, and the oversized visor also extends the wearer’s field of vision. It’s overall shape might be odd, but its highly effective at wicking water away from where it counts! Posted: 06 Aug 2014 08:50 AM PDT The Pure Towel is a smart appliance for the bathroom; it instantly disinfects and dries your wet towel, using ultra violet rays and a high-speed dryer fan. Using this appliance kills almost 99.9% of the bacteria in a towel, making it safe for use without additional washing. The idea behind the concept is to improve our daily routine and not really change it. Neat! Pure Towel is a 2014 Top 35 Shortlisted entry for the Electrolux Design Lab. Posted: 06 Aug 2014 08:01 AM PDT The typical way to clean the broom brush is to manually pull through the entangled hair and grim caught in the bristles. Yucky! The Filter Broom can spare you this disgusting routine thanks to its innovative design. It is designed in such a way that if you press the button on the handle, the comb passes through the filter plate and hairs and foreign materials can be removed easily. Say yay for innovation! Posted: 06 Aug 2014 12:01 AM PDT Say hello to Holla. It’s a wearable smart-gadget that fits snug on your wrist! More compact than a cellphone yet larger than a watch, it has a full 2.2 inch touch display along with an integrated earpiece for taking calls and streaming music. It’s this attention to audio that sets it apart from other wearable devices which often only focus on the tactile and visual senses. Holla uses NFC, Bluetooth and WiFi for seamless connectivity to all your other devices, making data transfers fast and easy. Holla’s hands-free earpiece charges using POGO pins, so there’s no need for an additional charging unit. Designer: Mithun Darji - No related posts. |
Posted: 06 Aug 2014 12:01 AM PDT The Whiskpoon is a quirky 2-in-1 kitchen tool that’s smartly (and simply) designed for dual usability. It quickly transforms from whisk to strainer with just a twist of the handle. In one easy motion you can switch uses to save time and the number of utensils to clean!
