Mike Stilkey paints characters on stacks of books

If you buy Mike Stilkey‘s artworks painted on stacks of books, you must think of one thing: how will I move it if I must go live somewhere else?

Jokes aside, I found his characters painted on stacks of books just majestic. He works sometimes with only a few books, but some installations are quite spectacular and involve full libraries.

These book sculptures are available at Gilman Contemporary gallery in Ketchum, Idaho.
