The Origin of Seating

Posted: 25 Jun 2013 09:24 AM PDT

The Origin task chair focuses on natural ergonomics, positive posture reinforcement & even weight distribution to keep the user’s body in check while they work. With other task chairs, users still have to lean forward to access their keyboard or mouse, thereby negating the chair’s ergonomics. Here, a split keyboard & mouse are integrated into the armrests so the spine can remain supported while weight is distributed to the forearms rather than the wrists. Oh, yeah… it’s also really really really ridiculously good looking!

Over The Edge

Posted: 25 Jun 2013 05:38 AM PDT

I almost disregarded the value of the Edge Tape until I came across the thankless job of helping a friend pack his boxes, when he needed to move a new home. Endless boxes, endless tape and the same old frustration of where has the tape end disappeared to and why does it keep rolling off the table! Murphy's Law says to stack the tape, but we all know that rarely ever happens.

EDGE TAPE is a rectangular shaped tape, which is roll-proof. Since it halts around the edges when you pull on the tape, you can easily control the amount of tape you need to cut, without pulling out excess.

Clean Sweep

Posted: 25 Jun 2013 05:32 AM PDT

Tired of the old dustpan and same old functionality of a dustpan and broom? Its time to adopt the Sweeper & Dustpan, crafted with the intention of upping the esthetic value of these humble cleaning tools. Besides the good looks, the innovating factor is the use of the dustpan's handle as a funnel. Simply deposit the dirt into any-sized bin with ease!

The sweeper is made of natural horsehair and beechwood, because natural hair sweeps better than its synthetic equivalent. The wooden handle covered with oil is nice to touch, well balanced and comfortable to hold. The project was made in collaboration with a Warsaw craftsman who has been producing brooms and brushed for many years. The design of the dustpan allows the technology of injection moulding to be applied.

Better Than Frozen Pizza

Posted: 25 Jun 2013 05:27 AM PDT

'There is not much joy in frozen pizzas or eating out every other night.' Based on his personal experience of living alone and hating to cook for a single person, designer Kim Risager brings us the alternative of the Fastronomy Cooker. Will this turnkey appliance motivate the singletons to cook a sumptuous meal or will this concept just be that – another idea; lets have a look.

Research in Scandinavia shows that since 1980, the amount of home cooked meals has dropped from 72% to approximately 50%. This is probably true for many parts of the world. Fastronomy is fast gastronomy in a product and service Essentially, the Fastronomy Cooker is a mini-kitchen that replaces cooking in the oven, frying in a pan and boiling in a pot with hot air and steam in a glass.

The system is an online Fastronomy Delivery Service where you can select the meals you would like to eat the same night. A single portion of ingredients for your meal arrives at your doorstep, and then all you need to do is combine and assemble. You may not be doing the cutting and chopping, but at least you get the satisfaction of whipping up a hot, fresh meal. When the cooking is done, the double walled cooking glasses can be taken out and cleaned in the dishwasher.

Happy to be Held

Posted: 25 Jun 2013 12:01 AM PDT

The ôr lamp was designed with nomadism in mind and lives freely as part of your home, office or elsewhere. The unique stretched-cone shape makes variations in light intensity possible simply by repositioning the design. Furthermore, the light intensity is adjusted with a simple touch to any part of the sensitive shell. In the users hands, it grows brighter before dimming again. Simply set it down when the preferred brightness is achieved!
