Pull & Change

Posted: 07 Jan 2013 09:56 AM PST

Designed by Stockholm-based design studio Whatswhat, the Pull lamp’s personality is both organic and distinctively true to its Scandinavian design heritage. The partly exposed, partly hidden cord is a connection between all elements while also serving as the mechanism to adjust the position of the shade. The user can simultaneously transform the angle of the light and character of the lamp by a simple adjustment of the cord.

Aesthetically Unique and Pleasing

Posted: 07 Jan 2013 09:05 AM PST

Typically this not the phrase you will use to describe an extension cord, but nevertheless, designer by Youngkwang Cho feels that he has the hang of it. I agree with him that extension cords and spike-busters are best left hidden behind sofas and desks, but if you have something as aesthetically unique and pleasing as the Curious Extension Plug, then maybe you'd like to show it off.

As you can observe from images below, when the extension plug is not plugged-in, it forms a very resting shape, which gives an user that the product is not being used. Once the extension plug is plugged and in operation, it slowly begins to change its shape into more nervous-tension look which gives an impression that it is hot and be careful when you need to touch it.

The Magical Sound Of BALLO

Posted: 07 Jan 2013 08:30 AM PST

Objects You Obsess or OYO did the right thing by engaging the designer duo Fabian Bernhard and Thomas Burkard for their new speakers. The tiny gadget provides ample sound and bass thanks to the clever designing. The speakers juice power through a built-in rechargeable Lithium battery and work with most audio devices. It features a 3.5mm jack for headphones and the colorful belt used to fuse the two spheres actually doubles up as a protection and bass tone enhancer when lying on a surface.

When plugged-in, the speaker turns on automatically and are available in ten different colors.

Klok for Dummies

Digital clock designs tend to be ugly and oddly difficult set up, but the KLOK is a fresh take on the digital clock/iPhone dock that makes things easy as pie! A single button/knob graces the front and needs only to be turned left to adjust minutes and right to adjust hours, then press once to set the time. To set the alarm, just readjust the time and press twice! It’s easy to remember, so you don’t have to worry about losing the manual!

What appears to be a simple wood block becomes a lamp with a subtle glow simply by pressing the top, causing it to rise and expose the light. Press again to switch the light off and return the top to the lower position. Check out the vid to see how it works!
