Fashionable Commuting in Paris

Posted: 14 Jun 2012 04:37 AM PDT

The year is 2046, the city is Paris and the commuter is an urban electric share-a-car system where you take your pick and move on to your next destination. A clever portmanteau of Paris and personal, the 2046 Parsonal Commuter in Paris is an advertising option for companies as well as mode of common transportation for the urbanite. Offering a clean-green ride, each vehicle is fitted with ample space for carrying luggage in the boot. Huge windows to view the dazzle of stunning Parisian skylines and comfortable seating are the two prime winners. Love the sleek design and the choice of city!

Blue Whales is a flexible showerhead concept based in rubber. It gives the user complete control over the water pressure and flow. Squeezing the showerhead dictates the pressure flow; sensitive areas like the face require a gentle stream where as feet can do with the max pressure. Generally you end up controlling the flow of water by turning the tap mixer, but with this unique blue, you just give a well-calculated squeeze.

Blue Whales is a 2011 reddot concept design winner.

G Shocked For Good

The G Shock concept watch is designer Alp Germaner's personal take on his favorite watch. I like the fact he has given it his personal style rather than succumbing to the "me-too" bandwagon. His version conceptualizes the C Shock as a digital + analog wristwatch. Clean lines and bold embellishments make it the perfect timepiece. What do you think?

Twisted Cold Water

Posted: 14 Jun 2012 12:12 AM PDT

Coolrunnings is a concept that allows you to enjoy a cool swig of water every single time! The way it works is this; a slender turbine of sorts is fitted into a rubberized cap and based on some physics that the designer has explained below, a few good shakes is all it takes to get you cold water on the go. With summer well upon us, this seems to be one of those must-haves when you wind your way through sweaty streets and malls.

‘Coolrunnings’ always provides cool water because it employs a twister-system cooling-pin located below the bottle cap. Convection current is faster and because of the twister-like groove it resists more strongly against water than slotted grooves. Water gets cool when shaken because the cooling-pin located in the center accelerates convection. The cap is made of rubber and prevents water from leaking out of the bottle. As the condenser is grooved like a twister, water is affected by the cooling-pin turning more smoothly.
