The Warmth of a Hug!

Posted: 13 Jun 2012 02:36 AM PDT

It takes a tough moment in life to understand the value of a warm hug. Be it an emotional situation or the regular menstrual cycle pains (PMS), women responds better to a comforting embrace more than anything. Based on this idea we have here the Hug Light, an illuminating lamp that offers heat and light therapy. Stress, period cramps and pain are dealt in an emotional and non-invasive manner. Looks like something I'd like to give a try.

Clean v/s Green Tap

Posted: 13 Jun 2012 02:10 AM PDT

Easy Clean Faucet is a really smart-cookie-of-an-idea for a bathroom! To avoid germs and contamination you'd probably go for one of those sensor taps that put a strain on energy resources in the name of sanitation. With its single-press feature, you can turn on the Easy Clean right from where the flow of water is to cascade. Essentially in the process, the faucet self cleans while you are washing your hands clean. A simple redesign and a brilliant solution!

No wonder the Easy Clean bagged the 2011 reddot design concept award.

Bento Box on a Daily Basis

Posted: 13 Jun 2012 01:34 AM PDT

I love steam-cooking food and if you keep scores with Masterchef (or Hell's Kitchen) you soon realize that 'keeping it simple', is always the winning dish. Adding to the simplicity is this Bento Box portable steamer and lunchbox. In one clean sweep you get to cook a delicious healthy meal that stays fresh and vibrant. The box uses induction cooking elements and steams water through the course of the body. Different parts of the meal like vegetables, protein, and grains are separated into various containers for easy cooking.

Bento heats up the assembly's base using inductive technology, creating steam from water added to the grains in the bottom container. The steam naturally rises up the assembly, simultaneously cooking the grains as well as the contents of the top two containers. The double-walled containers act like a thermos and keep the contents warm. It also features a built-in timer, which allows it to be programmed to begin cooking at a desired time.
