Posted: 21 May 2012 10:13 AM PDT The first of its kind, the 2Wheela is a concept vehicle that merges the practicality of super-compacts with the spaciousness of vans. Confused?! It’s actually 2 cars in 1! The modular system features 2 sporty looking cars that can be joined at the ends when you need the extra room or want to travel as a group. When it’s time to split, simply pull over, detach, and go your separate ways! Designer: Andrej Kregar - No related posts. |
Posted: 21 May 2012 05:47 AM PDT According to research not many scientists and designers care about the kind of respirators they wear while working with chemicals and such materials. Their filters rarely get replaced and many users don't even know how to replace them! KOMRAD is a respirator design that looks at solving these issues amongst a host of others. Designed to seal better, be portable and user friendly, the designer makes an interesting point with his concept. Have a look… Designer: Tetsugaku Sasahara - No related posts. |
Posted: 21 May 2012 04:44 AM PDT One of the most annoying computer peripheral on anyone's desk is the printer. It's noisy, it vibrates and it takes up so much space! Which is why I'm all for innovations that look at minimizing size without losing functionality. 'Circle' is one such attempt that has impressed me. One look and you won't even realize that it's a printer, looks more like humidifier or a fancy pot. Wish that manufacturers would look in this direction too; HP are you listening? Posted: 21 May 2012 12:09 AM PDT To keep production costs to a minimum, the Nort table is constructed from a single, planar kit derived from the same 1.5cm thick ash wood board. You’d never know by looking at it, but the flat-pack design can be constructed in seconds by simply sliding supporting pieces in their designated slots. Complimenting the warm ash is a center-placed ceramic disk that provides a finishing touch of refinement. Hit the jump to see the video teaser! Designer: Estudio Estres - Related posts: |
Posted: 21 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT The problem of ocean oil pollution is a serious threat to the natural environment and its wildlife that often proves too much for people to handle alone if not overlooked altogether. The Bio-Cleaner system is an autonomous solution that incorporates a variety of pollution fighting tools like biodegredating bacteria and acoustic alarms that aim to keep marine animals out of harms way while cleaning up the spill. The system uses biosensor technology to track the flow of oil and follows the spill while simultaneously releasing bacteria to degrade the pollutant, thereby streamlining the cleanup process and preventing the pollution from spreading further. During the entire process, the device transmits high frequency acoustic waves that discourage fish and other animals from entering the polluted area. Designer: Hsu Sean - Related posts: |
