Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 15 May 2012 02:35 AM PDT Life Light is perfectly visible in low light and night, making it an efficient and practical lifesaver and emergency buoy by the sea. The upside is that it relies on renewable energy sources to keep the LEDs working at night. It even features an LED water battery. So far the flipside are none, except that it's still a concept. What do you say? Life Light is a 2012 iF Design Talents winner. Designers: Tso Chu-Hao, Hsiang Hao-Tien & Chuang Tsung-Hua - Related posts: |
Posted: 15 May 2012 02:22 AM PDT All said and done, the Ö Case makes better sense as an iPhone Case than any others that I have seen. Two things that make this concept win its brownie points: A screen-cleaning slider that cleans those oily finger marks off the screen and a special nook to wind and store your earphones. Simple design, creative solution and a sleek outcome! Designer: Löytö Esineiden - Related posts: |
Posted: 15 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT This Segway style vehicle takes the 2-wheeler a step further in the form of a multifunctional transportation pod built for 2. Balanced on a movable joint arm, the Ayhanz Segway can be lowered for speed, linked with other vehicles of its type & even move like a roller coaster hanging from rails! Balancing futurism with realistic functionality, the design takes into account the space saving requirements we can expect in the future, & is a keen look at what urban transportation might really look & behave like. Posted: 15 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT It always happens when you least expect it – you take a drink of your morning coffee and before you know it, it’s too hot… and too late. HATES IT! The Drinking Timing glass by Hsu Sean is a thoughtful design that uses thermo-chromic material to provide a visual indication of the temperature of your drink. Too hot and it will glow bright red, too cold and it will be clear. Remember your shade and you’ll have the perfect temperature each time! Designer: Hsu Sean - Related posts: |
Posted: 15 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT I love a good hanger design, and here’s one that makes it possible to hang your clothes in a snap! The Snap Hanger consists of two units that fasten together at a single joint to function like scissors, making it possible to quickly and easily slip into narrow-necked shirts without stretching. Hangers can also be combined vertically to save space or taken apart and nested to take on the road. Designer: Yong Jeong - Related posts: |
