Irrigator for the Home Gardener Posted: 18 Nov 2011 09:13 AM PST The Rugiada waterer is an all-in-one irrigation solution that lets the common user garden like the pros. After inserting into the ground, the user selects the vegetable’s typology and the garden’s dimensions. Internal components including a humidity sensor and photocell for radiation detection automatically regulate the time and kind of irrigation (atomization, sprinkle, or droplets). Posted: 18 Nov 2011 01:15 AM PST Doing it the Apple way, Air Camera strips away all the unnecessary aspects to a digital camera design. It leaves us with a Bluetooth enabled camera lens and a motion-sensor shutter button mounted on two rubber bands. Precious moments are captured with a simple click gesture and the images get transferred to your synced smartphone immediately. This is how it works: if you want to click pictures, wear the camera band on your thumb and the shutter button on your forefinger and gesture to click a pic. To take videos, simply curve your fingers to mimic a video camera grip and shoot. The tension from the finger movement triggers the shutter button to operate. I think it’s a clever and fun concept! Posted: 18 Nov 2011 01:13 AM PST I love this concept of turning food relief packets to something useful, especially if used in disaster struck areas. The idea is to bundle food (rice) and water into this brick-like module, which can later be used to build temporary shelters. Thanks to their Lego inspired shape, the UNICEF Brick structures promise to be sturdy as temporary shanties. Designer: Psychic Factory ---------- |
Posted: 18 Nov 2011 12:01 AM PST Essence, by Renzo Menegon, is a multi-task device designed specifically for the BMW MINI Countryman Car and its unique center rail. The design was inspired by a flower, and features 2 articulated “leaves” that can be adjusted manually between positions. In these different positions Essence can act as an arm rest, bottle holder, or even as a compact table perfect for your wine glass (so long as you’re not driving of course). Attractive and useful, this is a great space-management solution. Designer: Renzo Menegon ---------- |
Posted: 18 Nov 2011 12:01 AM PST The skateboard is both the inspiration and the material that forms this awesome series of seating. Each deckstool or deckbench is made from real recycled broken skateboards, making each one unique with its own dings, scrapes, and artwork. Even old trucks are re-used as anchors between pieces. Each one tells a story! Get yours here! Designer: deckstool ---------- |
