Posted: 11 Nov 2011 03:32 AM PST Hole Punch Binder is a combination of a punch machine and a binder; basically office equipment that will make filing sheets a whole lot easier! Writing paperwork and maintaining files is quite an art and if anything helps to make the process easy, should be applauded. Thankfully all my sheets are digital documents and am saved from all this hassle! Hole Punch Binder is a 2011 Sparks Award entry. Designer: Seonyoung Choi ---------- |
Posted: 11 Nov 2011 03:04 AM PST The Fire Formula is a cool fire extinguisher where the chemicals can be mixed together on location in a jiffy. Apparently you can choose the amount of water and carbon dioxide combo that you require and douse the flame. However I like it more for its designer appeal. It looks way better than the traditional extinguishers and borders on being classy! Designers: Sheng-Hung Lee & Chen-Hua Wang ---------- |
Posted: 11 Nov 2011 12:03 AM PST I have always seen the Ferrari brand as something masculine and I credit this with being the reason I’ve also never seen a girl driving one! The Aliante, however, appears to be the work of someone who is well in touch with their gentler side! I don’t know if it’s the exaggerated fenders that look like big hips, or the dramatic curvaceousness of the body, but it’s a different take on the stallion and I like it! Can’t you just hear gossip coming out of the wide-mouthed, smirking front grill?! Designer: Arunkumar Shanmugam ---------- |
Beauty in Natural Architecture Posted: 11 Nov 2011 12:02 AM PST Inspired by one of nature’s original architectural elements, the bird nest, the Eyrie Chair is an ode to both natural construction and organic material. The branch supports were meticulously chosen to mimic the shape of the natural structure and the nest seat is made of steam-bended ash. As hard as it might be, it actually looks quite cozy! Posted: 11 Nov 2011 12:01 AM PST If you use a Bluetooth headset you know that it can be a bit awkward putting it on and taking it off, especially when you’re struggling to answer a call in time. The Angle uses an ingenious sliding technique that allows users to transfer the headset from the phone’s case directly onto the ear in one easy gesture while simultaneously activating the call. The middle part of the case acts as a charger and restores energy to the headset at the same time the phone is charging. Designer: Michael Harbounand, Thomas Chabrier, and Antoine Coubronne ---------- |
