Water Ding!

Posted: 01 Nov 2011 01:00 AM PDT

The CookDial is a pot with a timer dial at the end of its handle. You can leave a pot of water to boil, set the timer and multitask with other kitchen work, instead of keeping a watchful eye. A distinctive 'Ding!' goes off when time's up, and I think it can be a useful when I make my tea!

Happy Moos!

A winner of the 2011 Red Dot Product Design Award, this product is unique in that its main focus is to please animals rather than humans! The Care-for-Cows brush is the result of designer Andreij Nylander’s extensive research into cow behavior. In short, it keeps them clean and happy! More-so, it improves the social climate which increases milk quality and overall production.

Smartphone for User Efficiency

Posted: 01 Nov 2011 12:01 AM PDT

Kunihiko Nakata’s Palette smartphone concept uses top and bottom “sub-displays” for quick and efficient multitasking. Hiding source tasks at the bottom of the wraparound screen means more room for browsing on the main screen’s display, and hiding network tasks at the top allows the user to send information simultaneously through multiple selected services like Twitter, Facebook, email, or text message.

The Bodum Coffee & Tea Maker is unlike any I’ve seen before. A borosilicate glass reservoir & beverage filter are integrated as detachable modules, making the coffee or tea completely spill-proof. The engagement of brewing process is revealed in one central, elegant device. A new chapter in both coffee & tea culture!
