Posted: 10 Jan 2013 10:03 AM PST With colorful layers and an almost chem-lab aesthetic, the Roots series of vases are a clever twist on the classic tiered flower vase. The decorative objects, composed of blown borosilicate glass, can be used in two directions: one as a single vase for large bouquets or for grouped flowers that cascade down the side. Posted: 10 Jan 2013 09:52 AM PST OMG this Ketchup Presser is such a clever design! Its one of those things that requires very less explanation and the super cool video demonstrates exactly how you can consume ketchup with fries at your favorite fast-food joint without worrying about contamination through the paper mats or soiled ketchup pillow packs. Simple and Good! Designers: Hwandong Lee, Myung Gyu Kim, Nari Lee & Taeno Yoon - Related posts: |
Posted: 10 Jan 2013 09:44 AM PST The Beethoven Phone is for the hearing challenged folks who find it difficult to communicate with others through sign language. Not everyone knows sign language and to remove this barrier when the hearing challenged person types in his message, it gets relayed to the other person through the transparent screen as well as a voice message. What makes the device stand apart is the capability to turn back voices into text. So imagine the challenged person enjoying a movie using this device! Very cool! Abstracted Flower-Inspired Lamp Posted: 10 Jan 2013 12:01 AM PST The unusual shape of the Tulip lamp more closely resembles a retro-style stool than lamp, but its unique structure supports functionality as a pendant, floor, or directional light as well as a bedside table for lightweight objects. A modern blend of painted ceramic and raw wood contrast nicely with the vintage shape and make it possible to create a variety of color combinations for any room style. Explore the Urban Jungle in Style Posted: 10 Jan 2013 12:01 AM PST The Urban Pod has all the bells and whistles you’d expect from such a futuristic-looking design- radar for collision warning/parking, tire pressure sensors, fingerprint access, photovoltaic recharging top, head-up display… the list goes on. But what we can’t get over is that this bioplastic hybrid is just so %$&#ing cute! It’s inner-city travel style at its best. Designer: Paulo Encarnação - Related posts: |
Posted: 09 Jan 2013 12:37 PM PST Instantly draw on top of imported images or background templates and circulate them around within a community for collaborative design and feedback. Morpholio Projects’ Trace app for iPad originally focused on architecture but new templates for automotive and jewelry designers means these toolsets are finally spreading to other design professions. Coupled with the numerous pen options available for the iPad, an affordable digital design tablet seems possible. Deverloper: Morpholio Projects, Download for iPad - Related posts:

Posted: 09 Jan 2013 11:19 AM PST Elomax’s new DY10 lamp is a stunning contrast between the industrial and organic. The concrete base has two ash wood blades, slightly offset from one another to create a beautiful light pattern. I love the warmth mixed with the cold. Not sure when it’ll be available but I’m definitely adding these to my DO WANT list. I kinda wish there were miniature solar powered ones too designed with a stake so I can line my walkway to the front door. Designer: Elomax Agency - Related posts: |
