A collection of gorgeous book cover designs Posted: 23 Jul 2012 06:24 PM PDT It is really hard to graphically give an idea of a book and make it visually attractive. I’ve been searching for book covers that achieve this, you can see what I found in this post. The Gettysburg address, designed by David Pearson. Czechoslovakian book cover, 1954. Via Flickr. A great cover for the Great Gatsby. Via Boheme Extreme. Kant & Phenomenology. A book cover by Isaac Tobin for the University of Chicago Press. A Monster’s Notes. Via The Book Design Review. Quarrel & Quandary, a minimalistic typographic cover. Ernest Hemingway book cover illustrated. Via Flickr. The Kiss of Anton Chekhov, designed by Darren Haggar. |
Sprite Cow: CSS sprites made easy Posted: 23 Jul 2012 06:16 PM PDT Creating CSS sprites is a quite boring and time-consuming task, CSS Cow finally makes it much easier to use sprites in your web designs. This tool was created and published by The Team, a UK based design and communication agency. To use it, simply open your image in CSS Cow, then select the parts of the images you want and generate the CSS for it. |
