Posted: 26 Mar 2014 07:36 AM PDT Retractable hardtops have successfully equipped the automotive industry for decades… so why not the boating industry? Reversys Boat was designed from the inside out, using one mechanism to control three different positions to provide security, comfort and protection from the elements when closed… or fun in the sun when open. This modern tech creates an interesting contrast with the craft’s back-set cockpit, radical proportions and overall classic styling reminiscent of North American racers of the 1920s. This new plan comes with recreational and commercial areas and has three main grids in the form of streets, pedestrian pathways, and structure. All of this is intertwined to give us a revolutionary new city façade. Designers: Mark Talbot & Daniel Markiewicz - Related posts: |
Posted: 26 Mar 2014 02:16 AM PDT Skiing, trekking, rock climbing and all the similar thrills that the mountains provide also come with the high risk of accidents. The rescue operations of such victims demand specialized equipments that can tackle the unique challenges posed by a mountainous terrain. The Seesaw stretcher is a smart yet simple solution that seems to have the agility to adopt to such demanding conditions. The bed of the Seesaw stretcher is fixed on two pivots that allows it to swivel. This swivel action helps it to balance the victim’s body in horizontal level even while traversing steep inclinations. Activate a locking mechanism and the stretcher turns into a regular fixed type. I feel that the stretcher can play a role in not just mountain rescue operations but also urban fire rescue scenarios that involves stairs and tall buildings. Often, the most genial solutions come dressed as simple designs. The Seesaw stretcher is a classic example for that, tilting scales in favor of safer rescue operations. Posted: 26 Mar 2014 12:01 AM PDT The Eco Rice Cooker was named not only for its electric efficiency, but also for its material eco-conciousness. Made from either recycled plastic or bio-plastic, the design’s minimal interface features less (and therefore more simple) controls to minimize the number of unnecessary component parts. Its compact size is perfect for single servings and won’t take up valuable counter or cabinet space. Designers: Kim Hongjoo & Noh Jihun - Related posts: |
Posted: 26 Mar 2014 12:01 AM PDT The Drop street lamp is an innovative and iconic design that recalls the organic shape of a water drop. Its signature shape is not only easy on the eyes, but naturally withstanding against the elements. Produced from 100% recyclable anodized aluminum, it can be custom colored to compliment any city’s streets. Designer: Emo Design - Related posts:
