Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 19 Nov 2013 09:19 AM PST Now, this is the kind of stuff that men fantasize about. It’s like heavy duty garage porn… the trophy item in your shop that all other men will be envious of! It’s called the GCAn and it’s not just your average gas-can. Rather, it’s an entire gas station experience that you can take with you, including the pump nozzle and automatic shut-off. Check it out – and just try to contain your man growl. Designer: Fuel Transfer Technologies - Related posts: |
Posted: 19 Nov 2013 08:38 AM PST The Volcano is a barbecue grill that is modeled on the unpredictable volcanic eruptions seen in mountains. The idea stemmed from the love of watching dancing flames on barbecues as they slowly cooked and grilled assorted food items and transformed them to yummy delicacies. Although a cumbersome process, people still go through the pains of setting up the grill and indulging in elaborate fares, hopefully the Volcano will make life easier for them all. Posted: 19 Nov 2013 01:11 AM PST Probably the last Guessing Game for this year, so get cracking at it! What is this design? A hairband…or…. Today's hint: The most important value in the number system is what we call it. However the absence of the obvious makes it possible for us to pose like The Thinker. Wow I am good at riddles! In any case, here is Zero, a concept based on "something suddenly becoming more noticeable in its absentia." The absence of the sitting surface makes this furniture piece intriguing and experimental. Crafted from thermo-setting polymer with ‘Pearlescent’ colors, the seating has been designed in collaboration with MERCK and is limited edition. Designers: Paul Sandip & Suhasini - Related posts: |
Posted: 19 Nov 2013 12:01 AM PST The Daffodil Fountain serves as both a sculptural element and refreshing water source in a variety of public spaces. The petal-inspired design functions as a drain for the water, but also creates a way to generate revenue. Made of cost-efficient fiberglass, the petals can be changed regularly to promote local artists or generate income from sponsored advertisers. Aside from having a positive aesthetic impact, the design is a hygienic way to quench your thirst, thanks to its activating foot pedals. Designer: Jessica Carver - Related posts: |
Posted: 19 Nov 2013 12:01 AM PST Don’t be deceived by the name, the Luminous Blulb isn’t a lightbulb at all. From the core to the exterior, it’s composed entirely of silicone mixed with an illuminating pigment. All it needs is a little sun exposure to give off a glow. Best of all, it’s squishy to the touch meaning it won’t shatter if you drop it! Designer: HOBBY:DESIGN - Related posts:
