The virtual keyboard has arrived. Posted: 02 Aug 2013 09:39 AM PDT What’s better than an ultra-thin, compact, wireless keyboard?? One that doesn’t actually exist at all!! The Lumiquitous mouse system rids your desktop of the cumbersome keyboard, replacing it with a virtual keyboard projected directly on the desk surface. The two mice (one for each side) have a triple motion sensor, beam projector, and optical sensor that detect the movement of the hands and fingers. Because the keyboard moves with the mouse, there’s no more repetitive switching your hand from mouse to keyboard! Designer: Sung-Hyeon Yoo - Related posts: |
Posted: 02 Aug 2013 04:04 AM PDT LivingLight is a set of ambient OLED lights that house an herb garden within. Designed for homes, the lights can be used in almost any space to create their magic. The beauty of having a self-sustained suspended garden that exudes light is simply fantastic. Satisfying both your green thumb and lighting needs, this easy-to-maintain green patch is a breather to nurture. Designer: Michael Oechsle - Related posts: |
Posted: 02 Aug 2013 03:17 AM PDT I am a pretty accomplished cook when it comes to dishing out exotic cuisines; however the basics like cooking rice and bread still intimidate me. I suppose this set of designers had me in mind while conceptualizing the Rice Pack! More than being a simple package for rice; it is also a guide to the ideal amount of water required to cook the rice in a rice cooker.
Rice Pack is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winning entry. Designers: Park Kyungran, Kim Miyeon & Gho Hyejin - Related posts: |
Posted: 02 Aug 2013 12:01 AM PDT When standing in front of the MOCAP wall-clock, its numbers are clear and visible, but walk around it and you’ll notice that they slowly dissolve, falling apart in a vague white fuzz. Inspired by the movie industries motion capture technology, this striking optical illusion is created by small, white balls that extend various distances from the matte black surface on pegs of the same color and appear to float effortlessly in the air. Own it here! Designer: J.P.Meulendijks Design Studio - No related posts. |
Posted: 02 Aug 2013 12:01 AM PDT In daylight, the MEOLA lamp series serves as a sculptural object, reflecting natural light and movement on its silvery surface. At night, however, it comes alive as a vibrant luminaire and spatial focal point, dispersing a delicately diffused light from within the chrome coated surface. No doubt about it, they have a weird, quirky aesthetic… perfect for the ultramodern interior. Designer: Max Ptk - Related posts: |
