Posted: 05 Jun 2013 08:48 AM PDT The Stealth Pavillion is based on the concept of heterotopia, which describes spaces of “otherness” that are neither here nor there, simultaneously physical & mental, such as the space of a phone call or the moment when you see yourself in the mirror. To express this complexity, the exterior of the design takes inspiration from the radar-reflective form of the F-117 Stealth fighter. The simple, warm wooden interior with fire-pit contrasts this to create a feeling of isolation despite the pavilion being open-aired. Designer: Paul Segers - Related posts: |
Posted: 05 Jun 2013 07:58 AM PDT Typically, laptop bags and briefcases are too “serious” and anonymous. Infusing fun, fashion and exclusive flair, the Bombata Collection marries designer Fabio Guidoni's technical expertise with his fashion sensibilities. Armed with a technical – mechanical design degree, this fashion protégée brings in the swag to boring bags! Super Bombastic I tell ya! Stylish, colorful and fun, Bombata bags have gained the reputation of being the perfect examples of clean and minimal lines that they go so perfectly with the ever-changing tech industry. Keeping up with the evolving trends, you are sure to find a bag that suits your needs. Yes, me too am trading my backpack for one of these beauties. Posted: 05 Jun 2013 03:49 AM PDT Ponding is a washbasin that allows you to recycle the basin water in a much easier manner. A strategically placed jug right below the basin is what does the trick. The concept of reusing greywater has been around for a while and its interesting to note the different solutions that the designers come up with. Posted: 05 Jun 2013 03:39 AM PDT With the IBB Blood Transfusion Packs there will be no room for error while administering blood to those who need it. The packaging makes it almost impossible for you to make a mistake, because the letters A, B, or O appear prominently when the bag is filled with blood. Every part of the bags except the letters is translucent and this is what makes it distinctive. IBB Blood Transfusion Packs is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner. Posted: 05 Jun 2013 12:01 AM PDT Piero Lissoni’s DRITTO collection of side, coffee and dining tables blur the line between the material limitations of minimalism. The tables achieve a bold, substantial aesthetic by using ultra-thin slabs of carrara marble as well as post-recycled pietra d’avola and lithoverde stone, but each maintains a sense of lightness from the sheer thinness of the tops complimented by simple, geometric frames. Now you can get that raw, stone finished look without the aesthetic and physical heaviness of large slabs. Designer: Piero Lissoni - Related posts:

Posted: 05 Jun 2013 12:01 AM PDT Ok, so if you turn it around it would sorta look like one of those pregnancy simulators… but it’s because of these natural curves that the Fusion Ultimate Black backpack is so darn comfortable! The ergonomic design follows the natural curvature of the body to make it flexible, comfortable, aerodynamic and easy to wear for longer periods of time. In full grain calf leather it’s also durable enough to take almost anywhere. Designer: Jérôme Olivet - Related posts: |
