Posted: 21 May 2013 01:11 AM PDT As far as kitchen appliances go, we have seen very little action with the hand blender. Limited innovations mean a lot of scope for improvement; maybe this is why I fancy this Mini Hand Blender concept. It's an all-in-one deal that can be operated with one hand. The rechargeable unit can be turned on or off with the flick of the wrist. The Blender case, Blender, and mixing bowl are designed as a single unit so that the blades are kept hygienically stored and safe. Mini Hand Blender is a 2013 iF Design award – concept design entry. Posted: 21 May 2013 01:01 AM PDT The Moop is a mopping system that not only helps clean up the room but also uses technology to its advantage. The electronic bucket has the capability of recycling the murky water, sanitizing it again for reuse. Although the designers have not explained the workings of this mop, but imagining a system where simple methods for recycling and reusing the water sounds like a good 'green' idea. Posted: 21 May 2013 01:01 AM PDT Lumigrids is an LED projector for bicycles that hopes to improve safety during night riding. It projects square grids onto the ground and by observing changes in the grids, the rider can easily comprehend the landforms ahead. Lumigrids can be fixed onto the bicycle's handlebars and the power is supplied by either an internal battery or by the rotation of the bicycle's wheels. As the designers explain, on a flat road surface, the grid will consist of standard squares. On a rough road surface, the grids will deform accordingly. By observing the motion and deformation of the grids, the rider can intuitively understand the landforms ahead. In addition, the luminous grids can make it easier for nearby pedestrians and vehicles to notice the bicycle, reducing the likelihood of collision. Lumigrids has three modes with different grid sizes that can be used to adapt to different situations: normal mode (140x180mm), high-speed mode (140x260mm), and team mode (300x200mm). Product Tank’s latest design delivers the ease of loading up a large SUV in a super-compact city car that even the big boys will appreciate. To help facilitate spaciousness, the interior focuses on the thinness of each element. Everything from the seats to the steering wheel is just a fraction of the sizes you find in other cars! Whether you’re diving into emails, documents, or your favorite book, reading is made easier on the larger screen with bold text that won’t tire your eyes.
