Birds Have Better Homes Than We do Posted: 17 Jan 2013 11:35 AM PST Birdhouse by Ottawa based design firm The Federal is just another example of our avian friends living better than we do. Seriously, why are modern birdhouses so much more AWESOME? Matter of fact, what if someone scaled up a birdhouse, plumbed and wired it for human habitation? I’m down! I digress. Made of only two pieces of powder coated aluminum, wood and some leather string. Available soon. Guess some birds will be moving in this Spring. Designer: The Federal - Related posts: |
Posted: 17 Jan 2013 10:19 AM PST The versatile Comet-3-Phase spotlight stands out among other generic track lighting systems with a modern, asymmetric design and high-end material. Made of powder-coated, die-cast aluminum with bicolor stainless steel accents, the series is available in a variety of colors and finishes. With a focus on making this style of lighting even easier to use, the design requires no tools to change out lamps or adjust positions. - Related posts: |
Posted: 17 Jan 2013 07:47 AM PST Coffee Kong is an innovative way to get your coffee fix just about anywhere. You can be in a fancy hotel, a run down bus station or just catching up with friends at home. All you need is hot water and a couple of these sugar coated instant coffee compressed beans. Put in a couple of them (depending how strong you like your cuppa joe) and then get ready to sip on some delightful coffee. I'd love to try some Ahhaproject! Designer: Ahhaproject - Related posts: |
Posted: 17 Jan 2013 07:40 AM PST Battery.Family is a concept where one big mama battery houses other smaller sizes, making it easy for you to have Size D, Size C, Size AA and Size AAA in one nifty design. How practical is this concept at solving the needs of different battery sizes at one go, is yet to be seen. But what is evident is that the idea is worth pondering over. We have seen attempts in the past to have one battery fit all sizes, so lets add this to that list now. Designers: Soohwan Kim, Junho Yoon, Dohoon Lee & Hyojin Park - Related posts:

Posted: 17 Jan 2013 12:01 AM PST ZEIT brings analog and digital together in a striking, minimal timepiece that’s sure to be the focal point of any wall. Embedded in the tip of each hand is an LED light that gives a subtle projection of the time in numbers directly on the wall. When the two hands are in line, time is reflected only on the minute hand to avoid blending the time displays. Designer: Uttam Banerjee - Related posts:

Posted: 17 Jan 2013 12:01 AM PST I LOVE the story behind this wild chair – when designer Jason Goh would play with his food as a child (his favorite being fish balls), his grandma came up with a scary fish ball monster story to deter him. She said that if he kept playing the fish balls would turn into a big hairy monster and eat him up! Bringing the story to life, this monstrous Moyee chair inspires play in kids and adults alike. The body of the chair is constructed similar to the Roly-Poly toy, where the user can rock the ball without rolling the entire chair over. With mood lighting inside, it’s a perfect place to read a story or just hang out. Designer: Jason Goh - Related posts: |
