Posted: 07 Nov 2012 09:43 AM PST The 3d printing industry has been transformed from a handful of manufacturers producing costly machines, to hundreds of individuals creating their own machines and sharing the instructions on how to make them. The incredible accessibility to this technology has the potential to affect many aspects of our daily lives, including how we think about food. What if instead of street hot dog stands we had 3D food printer carts?! This twist on the classic food cart sheds light on the future of this awesome tech. The printer here creates what I’m guessing are simple chocolate confections, but this just scrapes the surface of what these machines might be capable of in the way of food! Mujjo Sleeves Up For The iPad mini Posted: 07 Nov 2012 04:00 AM PST Those Dutchies are fast. Just the other week I told them they needed to make iPad mini sleeves. I’m not saying they listened to me but as I sit here writing this post on an iPad mini, I can’t help but grin because Mujjo just announced the Originals sleeve collection for the iPad mini. Hear that? That’s the sound of 10,000 Steve Jobs booming in exclamation. They come in either brown or white made from the same supple leather and felt Mujjo is known for. Holiday gifting idea? Buy me one too while you’re at it – your devoted editor at YD. Designer: Mujjo - Related posts:

I want you to smile and so I’m giving one of you lucky readers a chance to win a limited edition Nooka Zub Zirc 20 Clear Grey watch. The photo doesn’t do it any justice. The color is smoked out and makes this watch outstanding. For a chance to win, come up with the best meaning for the acronym N-O-O-K-A. You can be serious, clever, or funny. “No One Owns Koalas Anymore”. Leave it in comments. I’ll pick a winner this Friday. Open to all. Good luck! Sponsor: Nooka - Related posts: |
Posted: 07 Nov 2012 02:00 AM PST Oh snap, Kontextu’r and designer Josh Owen came up with bathroom accessories that are fun while err’ing on the side of sophistication. Fantastic job because I want all of it. The Hanging Line consists of a wall-mountable towel/magazine holder, a toilet paper roll holder and specially designed hooks – all made from flexible and durable silicone. The toilet paper holder uses a magnetic catch to quickly change rolls. I’m less excited about the mirrors but as a stand-a-lone piece, they could transform a bathroom from drab to hella fab. The Yaktrax Run system is a traction accessory that can adapt to any shoe for comfort & performance in snow or difficult terrain. The asymmetrical shape was designed to match the contours of the foot & features swappable spike pods of different lengths that can be interchanged for different conditions. When you’re going back indoors, simply slip em off & throw in your bag! With winter just around the corner, its perfect for keeping up your routine! Designer: BOLTgroup - Related posts: |
Posted: 07 Nov 2012 12:01 AM PST Picto is a versatile and modern twist on the traditional birdhouse. A soft, playful shape and 17 colors to choose from make it an attractive addition to any garden, patio or balcony. Not only is it nice to look at, but the design has greater functionality than other birdhouses. The back features a glass door to observe nesting without disturbing and also makes it super-easy to clean. It’s the shelter of choice for picky feathered friends!
