Posted: 03 Oct 2012 09:27 AM PDT The CAMER-ing is a discreet digital camera that is designed as a ring. It works in sync with a tablet-esque platform that allows you to sift through what you have captured. The basic idea is to let you capture images on the go without the hassle of the bulk. Also, some radical snapshots can be taken when pictured from the index-finger level! What fun! CAMER-ing is a 2012 iF Design Talents entry. Simply fill up each interchangeable basket and reattach to the main structure’s easy mounting system. Made primarily of aluminum and polypropylene, the design can withstand the toughest abuse and fold or disassemble easily for quick storage when it’s not being used. Festival Dates: 18 – 28 October 2012 Does design mean only a process of creating another object or does it also imply a way of thinking that can have impact on the reality around us? How does it influence our lives? Can it make the world a better place? The must have poll is intended to promote Polish design, and the best-designed products have been selected to be showcased at a joint exhibition. Posted: 03 Oct 2012 12:01 AM PDT The EcoCharge system is a portable and green solution for giving your devices a quick boost by recycling heat energy. Using thermoelectric generator modules, the unit converts heat generated from cookware, home-heaters or any other source into usable electricity. A flexible magnetic face attaches to any metal surface so the device can be used almost anywhere. Equipped with an OLED display, it also monitors the conduction efficiency of different surfaces so the user knows always knows what kind of charge they’re getting. Posted: 03 Oct 2012 12:01 AM PDT Gotta love Floris Wubben’s latest lamp design… Stripped! Each lamp is constructed using just one branch – pieces are split to form the legs and main extension while bark removed from the branch is peeled to create the shade. The design aims to maintain the natural form of the tree branch as much as possible while the process ensures that no two lamps are exactly alike! Designer: Floris Wubben - Related posts: |
