Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 08 Aug 2012 09:37 AM PDT The Nike Trois collection of concept triathlon gear aims to streamline the process of changing from running shoe to biking shoe to cut down on course times. Both shoes were designed with a smart lace-and-strap system that can be set and tightened to the competitor’s preference before they put them on, so that when they arrive they can be slipped on quickly without adjustment. The trio of speed-suit, bike shoe and running shoe are aesthetically cohesive and fit snuggly into a matching compartmentalized backpack. Designer: Herald Ureña - Related posts: |
When Time is Safely Encapsulated Posted: 08 Aug 2012 05:07 AM PDT Safe Time is a concept watch that features a massive stainless steel case and a circular dial with titanium axis. Sharp milling and strictly functional (logic) design, are the key elements to the concept. Apparently the dials rotate instead of the hours and minutes hands; and this is how the time is displayed and read. The LED back-lit dials help in time reading. An exquisite design that redefines time telling! Designer: Michal Nemček - Related posts: |
Posted: 08 Aug 2012 04:53 AM PDT Although earbuds are very convenient when on the go, somehow I prefer not to wear them while driving or riding my bike. I get the feel that blocking out essential noises, especially when cycling can be detrimental. Something like this Portable Speaker Design for Cycles is what I'd love to use instead. They look sleek and have an easy way to fit in. Love their simple looks and easy access to controls. Way to go! Designer: Yu Haibo - Related posts: |
Posted: 08 Aug 2012 12:02 AM PDT This LED street lamp design is centered around 3 compact, flat, versatile LED modules that have a minimal impact on the visible skyline. The modules can be raised and lowered depending on necessity and are easily replaceable for quick maintenance. The minimal design is a nice alternative to today’s dull street lamp styles and is applicable to a variety of installations from sidewalks to racetracks. Designer: Felix Runde - Related posts: |
Posted: 08 Aug 2012 12:01 AM PDT This pole saw attachment combines advanced ergonomics with clean electric power to remove brush and branches. The long reach of the extension boom and a balanced, weight-distributing harness allows the user to easily trim branches without putting strain on the arms or back. The tool also collects and transfers information about its activity wirelessly to better gauge usage and efficiency. Designer: Viktor Rosendahl - Related posts: |
