7 Batman movie posters that collectors must have Posted: 19 Jul 2012 06:01 PM PDT Inspired by the DC Comics, Batman first conquered the big screen in 1989 starring Michael Keaton as the cape crusader and Jack Nicholson as the Joker directed by Tim Burton. It was Warner Bros' 1st installment of the Batman series. After being a huge success, it was later on followed by Batman Returns in 1992 starring Michael Keaton with Michelle Pfeiffer as Cat Woman and Danny DeVito as the Penguin. Michelle Pfeiffer's appearance in the film sparked a "rush" in Batman fans and DeVito's performance isn't bad either. Tim Burton yet directed two more of the Batman series, Batman Forever (1995) and Batman and Robin (1997). In 2005, the Batman series was revamped starring Christian Bale as Batman directed by Christopher Nolan. The movie depicted the origin of Batman's skills and prowess as a warrior and how a tragedy in Bruce Wayne's life gave rise to the Batman character. In 2008, a remake of the battle between our cape crusader and the Joker was produced. However, this time, the Joker isn't so "jokey" at all. Joker was a more serious, demented, evil character given life by Heath Ledger. It was a box office hit which earned $1,001,921,825 – the highest-grossing film of 2008 worldwide and the twelfth highest-grossing film of all time worldwide. Coming this 20th of July, The Dark Knight Rises still starring Christian Bale and the most awaited performance of Anne Hathaway as the Cat Woman. The Batman series indeed is an epic the world had set its eyes on. For film buffs, critics, and enthusiasts a Batman series collection is a must have. One way to show your support or enthusiasm for a film series is collecting its movie posters. Here is a round-up of the Batman film series posters you definitely must collect.
