Posted: 27 Jun 2012 04:15 AM PDT In an era where cameras are as sleek as the Nikon and Canon, coming up with arustic design as the M-icro Camera is quite a dare. However, this dare pay-off and gives us a delightful macro camera that captures macro photography effectively. Incorporating the elements of art deco, the ergonomic form and simplistic functions, make it a complete package of desire. It is interesting to note that the zoom feature has been simplified and enlarged, so that it's an easy-to-use cam. Designer: Thomas Sims - Related posts: |
Posted: 27 Jun 2012 04:00 AM PDT The concept of the Lampbrella is as romantic as getting wet in the rains with your partner. The design incorporates a rain and motion sensor into the shaft of the streetlamp and opens up the umbrella canopy when it rains. It's a clever integration of a street lamp and umbrella, but my only worry is that it may end up injuring someone while opening or closing. So till that open-close system is not refined, lets just call this a romantic solution! Designer: Mikhail Belyaev - Related posts: |
Posted: 27 Jun 2012 12:01 AM PDT I know what you’re thinking – NO WAY! But hypothetically, this idea is pretty cool. The Flying Bike concept uses a complex combination of advanced lightweight structural elements and high-precision propulsion and stabilization technology to give lift to the rider for brief periods of time; 5 minutes or so to be exact. You might not be able to weave in and out of traffic, but you might be able to fly over it! Designer: Technodat, Evektor and Duratec - Related posts: |
Posted: 27 Jun 2012 12:01 AM PDT I’m sure you’ve picked up on the trend of iPhone cases that do more than just protect the device- we’ve seen designs with kickstands and others with compartments for headphones. Finally, here’s one that has both! The Ö Case features a multifunctional component that stores ear-buds and also doubles as a stand to prop up the device. It’s still compact enough that the user won’t notice a difference in size. Designer: Loyto Esineiden - Related posts: |
Experience Color Through Touch Posted: 27 Jun 2012 12:01 AM PDT As you can imagine, the concept of understanding color can be incredibly challenging for visually impaired individuals. The Reveal project aims to bring a tactile system of simple shapes that can be easily learned by anyone for application in everyday life. Using tactile flashcards and posters as well as an audio-app for smartphones, colors are associated with touch and relayed to the user. Tactile tags on clothing and other objects then provide color information simply be feeling. Designers: Melissa Kelly, Allen Aliangan, and Chhunpora Rith - Related posts: |
