Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 20 Mar 2012 05:10 AM PDT First Aid 2.0 features a LED Red Cross panel that displays step-by-step instructions on how to administer first aid, relevant to the injury. It even has a GPS tracking system and can inform you about the nearest hospital or clinic. In the stressful situation of an emergency, this kit helps refines the process, which is the crucial first step in saving lives. Powered by a lithium-ion battery and AC power, the kit consumes little energy when it is on standby mode. It is capable of operating for a full 24-hours (without recharging), or 6 months when on standby. Frequent injuries and their course of treatment are bookmarked on the screen's home page for easy access. I love the way it doubles up as a subtle night lamp, so that it is easily reachable, even in darkness! First Aid 2.0 is a 2011 red dot design concept winner. Really Really Smart – Part Two Posted: 20 Mar 2012 04:55 AM PDT Looking for the perfect marriage between a digital scale, measuring cup and a mixing bowl? Your search ends with this awesome SmartMix! A notch up from the SmartMeasure Cup, this mixing bowl allows you to add and weigh ingredients both by volume and by weight, while preparing the recipe. The scale allows you to convert between the most common units, and tip in the elements with accuracy. Best of all, you can detach the bowl for easy cleaning and stow it separately. Superb! Posted: 20 Mar 2012 12:01 AM PDT Complete with the signature brushed gold plate, granulated plastic cover and glittering plastic corners, the Marshall Freeplayer might look like the famous vintage amp, but it’s actually a speaker for all your modern music players. Sync your devices via bluetooth or the iPod dock to experience 360 degrees of high quality audio. Designer: Michaël Imbert - Related posts: |

Posted: 20 Mar 2012 12:01 AM PDT I love the obvious inspiration behind this one-of-a-kind lamp design by Michael Samoriz. The Microscope LED Lamp aims to inspire designers, artists and other creatives to view their desk not merely as a desk, but as a laboratory where they can experiment with imagination.
