Posted: 05 Jan 2015 09:53 AM PST Welcome 2015, the world of design is awaiting your take on the future. Like Karim Rashid once said that he has learnt to embrace change from a very early age, we too should brace ourselves for change in the early part of the year. Syncing in with changes, is the A' Design Award & Competition and along with it are the World Design Rankings. We are sure you'd be curious to know if your country is leading the ranks, so we have for you the list after the jump. More details on the rankings can be found here. If you'd like to participate in the A' Design Award & Competition, then more details can be found here. The objective of the world design rankings is to contribute to global design culture via culture and highlighting good design. The rankings give an overview of the design potentials of countries worldwide by highlighting their creative strengths, design weaknesses and available opportunities. Ten New countries are included in the 2014 rankings: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Belarus, Sri Lanka, Norway, Cyprus, Albania, Qatar and Colombia. Top 10 remained the same compared to last year except for China ascending in the ladder from 8th to 7th position, which moved Brazil a step back. - Related posts:

The Braun Bounce headphones look like and feel like they sound: smooth and natural! Real wood housings are paired with ultra-soft ear cushions and a minimalist headband for an original look that’s as beautiful as it is comfortable. DO WANT! Designer: Rasam Rostami - Related posts:

Posted: 05 Jan 2015 12:00 AM PST Inspired by American Indian tribe craft, the Sioux coat rack is a subtle homage to customary woodworking during the age of bows and arrows. The design itself is a vertical representation of arrows shot into a target, with the base as the bullseye and 3 rods as arrows. As simplistic as it is sculptural, just structure is composed of just 4 components that are easily screwed together and unscrewed for easy transport. Designer: NAB Design Studio - Related posts: |
