Searching for paradise: surreal paintings by Shuichi Nakano Posted: 08 Jun 2014 10:41 AM PDT Nature taking back over cities is a common theme for artists. What’s a bit less common is the invasion of giant sheep, monkeys or fishes. Unlike Godzilla or other apocalypse-style giant monsters, these animals are peaceful and not looking to hurt anyone. This brings a strange peacefuleness to otherwise busy urban landscapes. With these artworks, Japanese artist Suichi Nakano seems to look for a solution for our over-industrialized societies.
