Posted: 13 May 2014 06:21 AM PDT When we think of “reclaimed” furniture materials, we’re quick to imagine things like distressed barnwood or railway ties, but one look at Fallen Furniture’s line of aviation art and furniture will widen your perspective entirely! The 777 Table is the latest in the series and featured a reclaimed wheel from a Boeing 777 as the focal point. Before being topped with a 40″ piece of toughened glass, it’s chemically stripped, sanded and polished to produce a stunning mirror-finish on the aluminum while the inside is powder-coated black. Posted: 13 May 2014 03:50 AM PDT With the high quality of pixels offered by Smartphones, our dependency on them to capture life's precious moments has increased. Social Media has taken over where we display these precious moments, how ironic! Oh, well if we have to have an intervention, then the CuPhoto – Digital Photo Cup is the best way to resolve the photo-displaying issue. Way cooler than a digital photo frame! Posted: 13 May 2014 03:47 AM PDT The City Scooter is an urban bike rental project that allows you to get to Point A to Point B, using the shared bike system. The selling point for this system is the way you use the scooter. You can either use it for free by pedaling to your destination or pay for the stored power, and use the electric motor. The bike has a light body and offers high stability in low speed. Designers: Pei-Chih Deng & Ju-Ting Yang - Related posts: |
A toll roll for the rest of us… Posted: 13 May 2014 12:01 AM PDT This design, called Ledr, totally gets a man-growl from us! It’s a versatile, tailored tool-roll designed for everyone. But not just for garage tools… ANY tools! It organizes and keeps safe everything from wrenches and screwdrivers to chapstick and earphones- the essential bits from our everyday lives. Hand-crafted in full-grain baseball glove leather, it looks as good in the garage as it does on the conference table. Vid after the jump! Designers: Dave & Calvin Laituri - Related posts: |
Posted: 13 May 2014 12:01 AM PDT If you’ve flown with luggage then you’re familiar with the fear of your bags being too heavy when they weigh them at the kiosk. There’s no quicker way to start a sour day of traveling than with a hefty overweight-luggage fee! Finally, this clever design takes the stress out of over-packing. Integrated directly onto the luggage, the handle doubles as a scale so the user can make sure they’re not exceeding the weight limit. Simple… and genius! Designer: Selma Durand - No related posts. |
