Posted: 28 Apr 2014 09:52 AM PDT Google DRAW is a stylus for GLASS and it uses virtual reality to simulate spray painting. In essence it can turn everything from air to surfaces into a white canvas. The DRAW is aimed at generation Y and allows one to you use their deepest imagination, transforming it to urban art. It helps find paintings through Google maps, and share them through social media. This stylus concept has a rolling ball tip that can be used with the same commands as the spray can mode, and its own app following Google’s visual language. Enjoy Drawing! Brooklyn Heritage Meets Modern Design Posted: 28 Apr 2014 07:56 AM PDT I wanted to support this Kickstarter effort by Design Unsanctioned of their Spencer Collection because it illustrates how modernity does not necessarily mean stark. Modernity is just a reflection of our aspirations of what we want the “now” to be. Any material can be used to articulate modernity. This collection of bottle openers and key straps uses heritage materials but through modern technology like laser cutting – gains a neoteric purpose. It’s not my style but I appreciate the beauty in its warm minimalism. Designer: Design Unsanctioned, Kickstarter - Related posts:

Posted: 28 Apr 2014 06:32 AM PDT Dutch design firm V3RS starts its premier series of lighting with this modern take on the tube light, the UTL floor lamp. Two stainless steel rods rise from the floor, connected by a U-shaped bulb at the ends. Its slim silhouette makes it perfect for those smaller, in-between spots in the home. Posted: 28 Apr 2014 12:01 AM PDT Julien Guenning’s GREYHOURS watch duo is a statement of minimalism and modern style. Both the black/blue and white/red versions have a soft aesthetic but a combination of super-strong sapphire glass and Italian leather make them highly durable. Simplistic yet elegant, it’s a perfect timepiece for casual daily wear. Check out the lifestyle vid after the jump —> Designer: Julien Gueuning - Related posts: |
Posted: 28 Apr 2014 12:01 AM PDT If you’ve ever been on a tram tour then you know that it’s all about getting the right seat… and ending up with a sorry seat can make a slow ride even longer! With the AIR-LEBEN tram, however, there’s not a bad seat in the house! This suspended sky lounge rotates 360 degrees so every passenger gets the same breathtaking view. For added thrill, panoramic windows put riders in the center of the scenery, all from the comfort of a climate controlled cabin. Designer: Philipp Divitschek - Related posts: |
