The design integrates an air filter that screens dust and pollutants from the environment. It also includes a photosynthesis system that uses an embedded water tank that produces oxygen. Other specs include electric motor and a battery.

Posted: 25 Apr 2014 07:07 AM PDT The Urbanized Cycling Shoe was designed with two goals in mind: keep riders dry and look good while doing it. With standard cleats riders must carry a second pair of shoes to change in to after riding, but this concept is less rigid while being more waterproof, making them comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Built in LED lights at the heels also provide a layer of safety not offered by current cleats. Minimal, sleek and stylish, you might find yourself wearing them even when you’re not cycling! Posted: 25 Apr 2014 12:01 AM PDT This wild looking concept is at once a sculptural centerpiece and functional fireplace for your outdoor area. The modern wood-burning design differs from other fire pits in that it encourages people to lean on and touch its surfaces to warm their body while observing its internal spiral flame created by an air flow rotation system. The copper strips that fan outward are also warmed to provide heat to the user’s feet. Unlike other conventional wood burning stoves and fireplaces, this design has no chimney or other means of moving smoke and combustion gases away from the user. An internal system draws cool air inside from around the base and enters a series of tapered helical shaped chambers where it accelerates and is pre-heated. The twist direction of the helical chambers provides air flow rotation in the same direction generating a swirling flame. Designer: Leu Aurelian - Related posts: |
Posted: 25 Apr 2014 12:01 AM PDT As the risk of flooding increases with environmental change, so does the potential for human disaster. Unfortunately, those currently at risk must rely on predicted data rather than real-time information. The Flood Beacon aims to address this issue by detecting water surges and issuing widespread alerts to not only the appropriate rescue teams but the general public via mobile phone notifications.
