Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 27 Feb 2014 08:25 AM PST Two in One combines the functionality of both a shower and sink faucet into one object. How?! Thanks to a sealed, jointed arm, the user simply rotates the shower head down to direct water over the sink. It’s not exactly the first solution you might think of to cut back on materials or save space, but the result is nonetheless clever and attractive so long as you can squeeze its specific dimensions into your bathroom. Posted: 27 Feb 2014 02:09 AM PST The Vacuum Lunchbox is a neat hotbox concept that hopes to keep your food fresh and piping hot. The idea is to have the box airtight and that no heat escapes. I love the design style the idea of carrying this to my next picnic at Central Park. Designer: Gu A Reum - Related posts: |
Posted: 27 Feb 2014 12:01 AM PST This design is a bit whimsy, a little outlandish, and a lot imagination-inspiring… just like a good book! Inspired by the 2012 Oscar-winning animation “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore,” designer Kiril Gitman sought out to recreate the very image of books flying miraculously. The result is BY THE BOOK: a playful alternative to a bookshelf that you can adjust to your liking with your favorite reads! Designer: Kiril Gitman - Related posts: |
Posted: 27 Feb 2014 12:01 AM PST Metsä (Finnish for “forest”) is the result of two designers’ trip abroad to a little Finnish town called Lahti! Inspired by the area’s lush landscape, Metsä’s 9 legs create a geometric abstraction of a tree structure while giving it structural integrity. Composed entirely of raw birch, its aesthetic is the best of both natural and modern! Designers: Geoffrey Riberry & Emmanuel Taillard - Related posts: |
