Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 02 Oct 2013 08:57 AM PDT This utilitarian lighting design is unrecognizable as a bedside lamp, but highly effective & energy saving. Named Capsule for its oblong shape, the lamp features an internal solar panel that collects energy during the day. To activate, simply lift the top of the shade to reveal a diffused, frosted glow. The adjustable lampshade features two different modes of operation – reading mode & damping mode. In reading mode, the shade remains static. In damping mode, however, it very slowly gravitates down, turning itself off once it reaches the bottom. Rotating the shade also adjusts the speed at which it lowers. Posted: 02 Oct 2013 04:44 AM PDT The queue is long, the pressure is building up and all the stalls in the toilet are taken. Sounds familiar? Most often some of the stalls have faulty door indicators and are actually empty. The 35′ – Bathroom Stall Door Indicator ensures that the empty stalls are not wrongly indicated and everyone gets to use them. Smart! Designer: Donghwi Chang - Related posts: |
Posted: 02 Oct 2013 03:56 AM PDT Energy Touch is a concept that gets me into my wishful thinking mode. More like what if we had screenguards so advanced, that they harness the energy from our finger's touch, every time we use a touchscreen device. Designer Chin-Po Tsai has his own explanation for his theory, which I am sure many of you would like to debate. The question is, can we see this happening in the future? Will we get to that stage at all? Designer: Chin-Po Tsai - Related posts: |
Posted: 02 Oct 2013 12:01 AM PDT In pure cafe racer style, the Monocasco pays homage to retro motorcycle designs, but with a modern compact electric motor in substitute of a twin petrol engine normally found in this style. Its combination of slim fairs, single tube headlight, and fat tires give it a late 60s racer vibe. Fast looking, but not aggressive, this fashionable bike is one that the ladies will love.
