The Micklish Butler on Kickstarter Posted: 20 Aug 2013 10:37 AM PDT The Butler has arrived on Kickstarter. The space saving organizer that keeps your phone, keys, wallet and glasses in one place has reduced it’s price ($79) – that’s if it can meet its Kickstarter goal. The design drips with neo mid-century flavor, warm enough to work in traditional homes, clean enough to look handsome on the walls of a modern home. The entire piece is CNC’d from black walnut and baltic birch ply – definitely timeless. Compatible with all iPhone models, Samsung S3 – S4, and the HTC One. Get chu’ some! Posted: 20 Aug 2013 08:47 AM PDT Literally! It suctions onto any surface to keep your designer 316 Liner pen handy. Its sucker is both the base for keeping it upright and the cap for protecting the tip – so both parts are easy to keep together. I always forget how useful rubber-suckers truly are (even if they feel a bit 1991!). Designer: Jeongbeom Han - Related posts: |
Posted: 20 Aug 2013 01:01 AM PDT Just rip them! Reuse of surgical cloves is strictly prohibited and yet we see many indulge in this malpractice. The only way to ensure that the gloves don't get reused is to tear them. The Safe Cut Surgical Glove's design has a provision to tear them from the palm-side. A tab cuts through the latex when the gloves are removed. This will prevent both unintentional and intentional reuse of the gloves. Safe Cut Surgical Glove is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner. Designers: Park Bomin, Jung Sumi & Chu Yeunho - Related posts: |
Posted: 20 Aug 2013 01:01 AM PDT Talk about futuristic appliances then the Kitchen Hub comes across as the top contender for the 'ear better and reduce waste' category winner. The device designed to work along with a food stock app that controls info regarding the ingredients you have at home and how you use it. The device even stores individual diets of the family, has a stock of recipes and a shopping assistance function. All I know is that to stay fit, you need to eat healthy, so bring this on! Kitchen Hub is a 2013 Electrolux Design Lab semifinalist. Designer: Francisco Barboza Grasa - Related posts: |
Posted: 20 Aug 2013 12:01 AM PDT If it weren’t functional at all, I’d still be in love with the look of the Ois Espresso Cup. But it is. So I do even more. Its fine bone china nestles perfectly into the tropical wood saucer to stabilize the cup so you can move with it…. and what good is coffee if you can’t take it with you? Posted: 20 Aug 2013 12:01 AM PDT This clever gadget, called Activ, makes it possible to harness the kinetic energy created by your own body! The personal electricity generator was designed to be worn on the knee- with each step, it juices up the battery a little more. After it’s full, just attach a USB cord directly to Activ to power your cell phone or other device. Instead of plugging into the wall… plug into you! Designer: Ben Azzam - Related posts: |
