Posted: 16 Jul 2013 08:53 AM PDT The #8 project in Dongsung Jung’s series “0-9″ is this unique sculptural lighting object: the 8light. Like the name suggests, the 8light takes its shape from the world’s most aesthetically fascinating number. Each of the figure 8′s “rings” turns to illuminate in different directions. Best of all, however, is that each ring can be turned to align, making a perfect figure 8 with a slim profile that can be packed perfectly flat! Do want! Designer: Dongsung Jung - No related posts. |
Posted: 16 Jul 2013 08:22 AM PDT Ask any home gardener and they will tell you that there is no greater joy than growing and cooking with fresh home-grown produce. To cater to this joy we have the Harvest Matching concept. It is a device that allows you to monitor your plants and then informs you when the produce is ripe and ready to cook. A helpful Smartphone app gives you details on the growth process and even suggests recipes. Powered with a solar panel, the gardening pot is pretty self-sufficient. Harvest Matching is a 2013 Electrolux Design Lab semi-finalist. Designer: Ke chang-han - Related posts: |

Posted: 16 Jul 2013 12:01 AM PDT Argueably the most sustainable scooter in the world, “Be.e” is constructed almost entirely of bio-composites. The monocoque body is made from flax and bio-resin, and its unique eggshell shape and frameless construction reduces the total amount of parts drastically without sacrificing structural integrity. Fully electric, it’s also quiet enough to hear a pin drop! Watch it zip around—> Designer: Waarmakers - Related posts: |
Posted: 16 Jul 2013 12:01 AM PDT Continuing Dyson’s legacy of unlikely innovations, the Traveldryer utilizes the same digital pulse technology in a super-compact unit with a versatile range of uses. The easy-to-use dryer directs and circulates warm air to dry everyday objects that aren’t suitable for the clothes-dryer. Perfect for wet weather, simply place it in your soggy shoes or under a soaked umbrella for a quick dry and to keep items from mildewing. Designer: Sebastien Genez - Related posts: |
