Posted: 09 Apr 2013 08:41 AM PDT D*Haus’ D*Table is a functional 3D puzzle inspired by the Haberdashers Formula! Discovered by English mathematician Dudeney in 1903, it turns a perfect square into an equilateral triangle by dissecting the square into four distinct shapes. Dudeney’s achievement lay dormant in mathematical textbooks for over 100 years, but when applied to modern design, the possibilities are endless! Functionally flexible, this coffee table adapts to any space while encouraging play and user interaction. Designer: D*Haus - Related posts: |
Posted: 09 Apr 2013 08:02 AM PDT The BKR is a concept bicycle that uses wood for its physical and natural proprieties of sustainability, malleability and elasticity. The mainframe skeleton is crafted from plywood with inert rubber gaskets sandwiched in for effect. The cycle features an innovative 'Easy Saddle' system that allows the rider to change the height of the seat by just pushing a button. A specifically designed dynamo on the front wheel provides energy as well as speed/distance trip information directly to a Smartphone dock on the handlebars. Posted: 09 Apr 2013 07:47 AM PDT You can only understand the value of a good power strip when you own too many devices. I am literally joined to the hip with my iPad, iPhone and camera on any given day. So a good power strip that can accommodate the various charger heads is a welcome design. The Modular Power Strip Concept is a step in this direction and I think someone should make it now! The concept aims at providing us with a versatile power strip that can be expanded as well as easily accepts large power receptacles that typically can cover other outlets. Have a look at the video here for more details. Designer: William Harris - Related posts: |
Posted: 09 Apr 2013 12:01 AM PDT The insect-inspired Swarm lighting series introduces playful illumination in the form of clustered, wasp-shaped pendants that feel like a colony suspended in motion! With distinct Scandinavian design quality, their simple composition of glass, metal, and elegant woodcraft hearkens back to a simpler time when the creative process was just as important as the end product. They can discover animals from land to sea or explore and create their own creatures from octolizards to jellypedes! The combinations are endless! Abstract shapes and sustainable wood material give it unique identity and Link-n-log timelessness… a great hand-me-down from generation to generation. Designer: Hakan Gürsu - No related posts. |
