A New Way to Store and Carry Paper Posted: 06 Feb 2013 08:44 AM PST Even in our digital age, there are still a handful of people, including architects & engineers, who use paper on the daily. The Duo paper storage solution aims to make transporting & storing sheets a direct, safe, & quick process opposed to the existing cylindrical tubes which often damage the paper during use. The design divides the inner hollow of the cylinder in two parts, utilizing the center with an additional cylinder for storing unused sheets while preserving drafts & documents in the outer cylinder. Posted: 06 Feb 2013 07:00 AM PST The Twist is a very cool pencil sharpner that takes in any size pencil. The different diameter-sized pencils fit in comfortably thanks to the spring steel body that adjusts to the form. It negates the need for a dedicated sharpener or the need to buy multiple sharpeners to suit your pencils. The form is simple – bent spring steel with two blades. The spring steel allows the sharpener to expand to suit thicker pencils, and to regain its original form after use. The two blades allow the user to rotate the pencil in either direction. In this way, it suits both right-handed and left-handed people. The slit facilitates the easy removal of any broken leads, which generally tend to get stuck inside sharpeners. The Twist is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner. Designer: Abhishek Anupam - Related posts: |
Posted: 06 Feb 2013 06:50 AM PST The ICONE is an amplified speaker which provides 360° sound. Wireless technologies and Smartphone Apps integration (even tablet and computers) makes it the perfect listening companion for music lovers. It's not portable but it works well as a multiroom system. Sounds good! Designers: TRIANGLE And Kevin DEPAPE - Related posts: |
Posted: 06 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST I never realized that dealing with a tea bag was so frustrating! Admittedly, I’m also more of a coffee drinker… but I can still see why the SlingsHOT Tea Cup is appealing. The slit in the handle keeps the tag from falling in and allows the user to squeeze the liquid out of the soaked bag simply by pulling back as you would a slingshot. Just be careful not to pop yourself in the eye! Designer: Samir Sufi - No related posts. |
Posted: 06 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST The Tank was developed for the extreme iPad user (and those who are just plain accident prone!). The rigid aluminum case matches the minimal Apple aesthetic and was designed to protect all of the most vulnerable parts of your precious iPad. The top and bottom shells fit snugly around the exterior while an ultrathin polymeric membrane buffers contact between the metal and glass. The raised X pattern isn’t just for looks; it also prevents scratches and reduces pressure. Own it here! Simply flip to the top over and the clasp automatically raises to give the iPad a 14-degree angle for easy, comfortable typing. Designer: Andrea Ponti for Innopocket - Related posts:

The Power Of Musical Resonance And Décor Posted: 06 Feb 2013 12:00 AM PST There is a reason why they say that music is a universal language that transcends all boundaries. It is powerful enough to break all barriers and yet potent enough to create the most memorable moments of our lives. For example, how many of you have that 'our song' with the one you love? Now imagine converting the intensity of that music into Spectrum Decor Artwork or maybe a recorded 'I Love You' sound waves for Resonant Decor! How both these personalized artworks work is simple, you send across a piece of your favourite music (maybe just the best clip) to Vapor Sky and these good folks turn that music into varying frequencies of sound for the Spectrum Decor and into magnificent sound waves for the Resonant Decor. The fundamentals for this are pretty unique; imagine owning an art décor that is a graphical representation of a U2 or Police song. So very deep! With Valentines round the bend, maybe you can convert your special song into this great artwork gift; how about that! For the sake of clarity, any kind of recorded music works best with Spectrum Decor, on the other hand self-recorded audio like animal sounds, child’s laughter, fetal heartbeats, or voice recordings like 'I Love You' work best with Resonant Decor and create the best looking waveforms. Some songs leave us with a lasting impression, simply choose a specific music (30 seconds or longer), the length of that music and the varying frequencies of sound and its intensity is recreated as artwork for your wall. Details can be found here. Certain sounds really connect with us on a subconscious level. Resonant Decor captures the waves of those sounds on canvas in your brilliant color choice. You can personalize your artwork and select from five landscape sizes. Details can be found here. Just know that you can get a digital version of your artwork for keeps and even personalize your smartphone or computer wallpaper. There are many ways to enjoy your music, and here are some of them! - Related posts: |
