Posted: 04 Feb 2013 09:09 AM PST The Schwarzlicht, named after designed Markus Schwarz, is an ultramodern lighting solution with a simple composition of steel and LED strips. LED strips are positioned on the inside face of each steel section so light is visible from any angle the pendant is viewed. Though its shape appears irregular, the position of the LEDs ensures light is dispersed evenly. Designer: Markus Schwarz - Related posts: |
Posted: 04 Feb 2013 01:20 AM PST SOYUS is a light portable iPhone dock that promises well-balanced, rich and powerful sound. The system comes with a sub-woofer and two speakers and it tanks up using a Li-pol battery to keep music blasting for a long time. I love the way the designer has used a structured aluminum frame to give it a sturdy look. It also features a 3.5mm audio jack for extra flexibility when enjoying music. It is easy to carry around thanks to its light framed structure, making it easy to hold using any of its metal bars. Designer: Olavo Pena Monken - Related posts: |
Posted: 04 Feb 2013 01:09 AM PST The Speed Guard is a speedometer alert that uses a colored display to let the driver know that he is speeding above the permitted speed limit. GPS readings detect the position of the car and the speed limit of that particular road. So even if you see the signboard, your car knows the speed limit; no escaping that! When the speedometer's needle passes the speed limit, the excess area covered by the needle will be illuminated with red light. Speed Guard is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner. Posted: 04 Feb 2013 01:00 AM PST Finally! Someone made an LED desk lamp that can change from a cool blue color to a warmer yellow color with a touch of a button. On top of that, it has a USB port for charging. To add to that pile, it looks pretty sweet. OMG, I used the word “sweet”. I must be short on adjectives because I’m actually really excited about this lampe from Satechi. The versatile lamp was designed to meet the lighting needs of business pros, students and busy moms and features user friendly touch controls to toggle between four different brightness levels. The sleek and glossy lamp's four different modes provide the ideal amount of light for enjoying a good book, studying for an upcoming test, taking a load off after a busy day or having a peaceful night's rest.
The Satechi Smart LED Desk Lamp is available for an introductory price of $99.99 at Satechi and Amazon. Designer: Satechi - Related posts:

Posted: 04 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST The Double Life storage solution was named after our tendency to look well put together when we leave the house, while our closets are left in shambles! The unit contains cubbies of various sizes to keep a wide range of items neat and tidy. Though it looks like a singular piece, each of the eight squares can actually be arranged according to the users taste and needs. Designer: JuHyun Shin

Posted: 04 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST The term “blacklight” usually brings to mind the tackier part of the 1990s and spring-break-style glowing paint parties, but these modern lamps shows that the blacklight can also be refined and elegant. Both use the basic shape of the classic bulb; one clustered with free-form curves that emits UV, and the other a single incandescent bulb tinted black for ambient light.
