Posted: 22 Feb 2013 08:38 AM PST There’s something sort of “stone-age” about the Kaji lamp & its simplistic, yet striking look that appears to be the work of a caveman’s first encounter with an electric light bulb. A single arm extends from the cord, effectively making the cord itself an integral part of the structure rather than a cumbersome nuisance. Propped on a slim teak fork, the unique construction creates an aesthetic reversal of the archetypical tripod desk lamp. A beautiful interpretation of the minimal/raw style that’s in vogue. Comfortable Seating At Airports! Posted: 22 Feb 2013 01:11 AM PST Now that I have your attention, let me elaborate on this amazing project by Kwon Jin-Seok. Comfort Airport is an adjustable airport seating system that helps passengers pass time comfortably while waiting for their flights. The operative word here is 'comfortable.' The seating system takes into account our activities while we wait for our flight to be called. We often do various things while taking a rest – for example, using a computer, reading a book, or eating something. Comfort Airport offers an easier environment. It is a convertible chair that can be easily transformed into a table on which people can use computers and mobile devices. In a grouped table configuration, it can also serve as a place to converse with friends or family. With its backrest and table folded down, it can be transformed into a daybed on which passengers can lay down for a nap. Comfort Airport is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner. Posted: 22 Feb 2013 01:01 AM PST One of the best things about the Ray Mirror is its invisible sliding mechanism. The fact that two small compartments for your most important cosmetics and toiletries are hiding behind the façade is astonishing. Thanks to its slim appearance it is also suitable for small bathrooms. I think they mean my bathroom! Designer: Michael Hilgers for Ex.t - Related posts:

Shower Anywhere from the Comfort of Home! Posted: 22 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST There’s nothing quite like an outdoor shower, but it’s mostly reserved for those with the space and privacy. As much as our neighbors might appreciate a show, for those of us who live in urban spaces, it’s something we can only dream of! Well here’s the next best thing – the Spaces OLED shower brings the outside in with a 180-degree, wrap-around screen that will fulfill the user’s fantasy, putting them in any setting they choose… jungle, beach, waterfall, you get the idea! Posted: 22 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST The Time Timer Watch PLUS incorporates visual, audible as well as tactile alerts to broaden the reach of its users to include those with special needs or anyone who simply has trouble with time tracking. Time is depicted as a red disc that disappears as time moves, and user defined intervals are signaled by both sound alarms and vibration. With an easy-to-use interface, it’s perfect for blind or deaf users, or anyone who just needs a productivity push. Designer: Time Timer - No related posts. |
