Posted: 20 Feb 2013 09:07 AM PST Introducing Flaxus, the world’s first flexible fashion stylus! Merging style and practicality, the design allows the user to wear their stylus on the wrist like a bracelet, keeping it handy to operate any touch-screen devices. The silicone material, available in a spectrum of bright colors, makes it comfortable to wear and gives it a soft, tactile grip for enhanced ergonomics. Designer: AEGLO - Related posts: |
Posted: 20 Feb 2013 01:11 AM PST According to designer Gabriele Meldaikyte there are five basic multi-touch gestures that form a language we use between our fingers and iPhone screens. We use gestures like tap, scroll, flick, swipe and pinch, to communicate and navigate. These moves are considered to be ‘signatures’ of the Apple iPhone and in the next decade or so these gestures will completely change. To preserve their authenticity, the Multi-Touch Gestures project was born. As Gabriele explains, "I have translated this interface language of communication into 3D objects which mimic every multi-touch gesture. My project is an interactive experience, where visitors can play, learn and be part of the exhibition." Designer: Gabriele Meldaikyte - Related posts: |
Posted: 20 Feb 2013 01:01 AM PST The Finger Jack Holder is a great idea that helps you keep your cables organized on your desk. The fingers keep your cables ordered and within reach. The option of tagging each cable is quite a clever one, it makes it easier for you to pick the camera charger line out of the other gadget and devices cable that the fingers hold. I like it! Finger Jack Holder is a 2012 red dot award: design concept winner. Designers: Lee Hugon & An Hyeonjeong - Related posts: |
Functional, Sculptural Lighting Posted: 20 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST The Worker lamp is designer Pascal Howe’s first addition to the VDI 2860 collection of “functional sculptures.” The design draws inspiration from his fascination for technical details as well as vinyl toys- a bit of nostalgia from being a child of the 80s and 90s. While the vinyl toys are typically small, The Worker is strikingly large at over four meters high. With the technological and structural intricacies completely visible, the design is complimentary to both industrial and minimal styles and also functions as a durable lighting solution for a variety of work areas. Posted: 20 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST This ingenious kitchen scale, quite simply called “Ball,” is as adorable as it is practical. The simple, contemporary design needs only to have the lid removed to operate the standard scale located in the lower hemisphere. When you’re finished, replace the lid and you’ve got a playful and colorful accessory for your kitchen countertop! Designer: Radomir Shterev - Related posts:
