Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 13 Feb 2013 09:07 AM PST The single-axle Honda type E concept uses similar physical principles as a segway for maximum maneuverability in the urban jungle. The ultrasmall vehicle focuses on minimum space consumption, maximum driver visibility, easy access, high efficiency, and, most importantly, driving dynamics that make it capable of turning 360 on the spot. It’s got a far-out aesthetic, but it’s really not all that unrealistic from what we’ll probably see not-so-distant future. Pros: Designer: Michael Brandt - Related posts: |
Posted: 13 Feb 2013 07:43 AM PST The Smart Hanger is a portable garment care device shaped that doubles up as a drycleaner. Other than saving you a trip to a laundry on a busy morning or exhausted night, volatilized air air-washes off unpleasant smells and kills clothing germs and molds without causing any damage to clothes. Ideal for suits, dresses, uniforms or outdoor jackets that are difficult to wash at home, Smart Hanger offers an instant cleaning option. Posted: 13 Feb 2013 07:29 AM PST The Extinguisher For Black Out is a design that integrates a flashlight and fire extinguisher into the same body. I think the idea is superb; in an emergency, especially during a fire evacuation, you will need a flashlight and an extinguisher! In any case the flashlight is detachable, so this design makes complete sense. What do you think? Designers: Chang Young Jung, Hanbin Ko, Won Chan Lee & Kiwon Lee - Related posts: |
Posted: 13 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST The beautiful and simplistic OWO watch features a minimal face with white hands against a pure white background. Hard to see the time right? Wrong! Simply shake the watch and iron particles will stick to the magnetic hands making the hour and minutes visible. The thoughtful design encourages interaction and lets the user control their awareness of the hour rather than feel rushed and distracted by ticking hands. Designer: Tim Defleur - Related posts: |
Posted: 13 Feb 2013 12:01 AM PST A metal rod, steel base and 19 winding hooks are all that compose the Hook Up hanger stand. Its simplicity and size make it a great for a variety of spaces small and large, from the bathroom to the foyer. 19 is kind of an odd number to land on, but I can definitely think of that many uses! Utilitarian design at its best. Designer: Thomas Schnur - No related posts. |
