The 3-part collection consists of: Urò, an elegant design marked by angular geometries on its face… Kian, inspired by military style… and Skyner, a sporty version with metal mesh and bold numerics. With a number of color combinations and band selections there’s one for every aesthetic taste. Designer: Gaggero G.Battista - No related posts. |
Posted: 27 Nov 2012 03:36 AM PST My first introduction to the world of maps was this magnificent wooden globe, placed in my father's office. The times when it became impossible to understand the trade-winds route or memorize the landmarks and seas, I'd turn to this globe for help and learn it all up in a jiffy. Times have changed now and affording one of those antique globes is just a far fetched dream. However a contemporary and kitsch take on the maps is here in the form of the Color Maps. They come in four sweet themes: Midnight, Chocolate, City Lights and Pop Color Maps. Vinyl album amplifier goes cone-shaped with NFC Posted: 27 Nov 2012 12:03 AM PST It’s time to get literal in the music universe with a vinyl speaker that’s not just made out of vinyl, it’s got the look and feel of a vinyl record album as well. This conceptual design would have a 12-inch platter up on the wall with NFC technology making the connection between the amplifier inside and the smartphone in your pocket. With a simple pull of the disk you’ll also have amplified sound with a cone-shaped bit of physics on your side. Having seen some rather similar designs in our day as far as physical amplification of sound goes, it wouldn’t be out of the question to have this device entirely mega-popular out in the streets. We’d love a few for the office, that’s for sure! Designers: Zhou Yuxiao, Ren Ying / He Ji, and Liao Chunhui - Related posts: |
Posted: 27 Nov 2012 12:02 AM PST If you take a milk carton and flip the top upside-down, what do you have? You have a design made by none other than designer Sheau Shiuan Lin. When we first had a peek at this design, it seemed awfully similar to a design we saw just days previous (for some of us) at our children’s daycare center – a milk carton, but with a flat top rather than a peak. Instead, we’ve got something just a tiny bit different. Have a peek at the fold-up and straw design posted here that goes by the name “StrawIN” and let us know what you think. Is it so close to the original milk carton we use everyday that it cannot be considered new? Or is it simply brilliant? Designer: Sheau Shiuan Lin - Related posts: |
Posted: 27 Nov 2012 12:01 AM PST Gotta love this über-cool design by Andrea Santarossa! The Kokkode chair’s playful egg shape isn’t just for looks, it also encourages correct posture. Composed using cold polyurethane foam injection and a counterweight for balance located at the bottom, the ergonomic design adapts to the postural needs of the seated person by forcing them to rely on their core muscles. Get it here! (Sexy man sold separately.) Designer: Andrea Santarossa for ILPO - Related posts: |
Posted: 27 Nov 2012 12:01 AM PST Even if you don’t have cats, you’re probably familiar with those carpeted climbing towers and just how aesthetically atrocious they are. Not cute! The Qcha cat house provides the same sense of play to your cat all without the ugly! Each modular box has holes on dedicated sides that allows them to be mixed and matched and combined into maze-like structures that will keep kitty entertained for hours. Carpet inside also provides a place to claw and nap. Designers: Daniela Ogis, Stefano Ogis, & Fabrizio Fillo - No related posts. |
