Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 26 Sep 2012 06:11 AM PDT The Impress Refrigerator has an intriguing way of storing food. It holds containers or bottles in such a way that you can never forget that you have placed them there. It consumes lesser power when fewer items are placed, thus conserving energy. The open interface makes it easy for you to access the food and also never forget about them! Impress Refrigerator is a 2012 Electrolux Design Lab Top Ten finalist entry. Posted: 26 Sep 2012 04:33 AM PDT FlyIdea is an amazing phone that features an alluring interface. I simply love the dongle-earphone that performs a myriad of functions. The dongle essential functions as wireless earphone, and syncs with the phone to work as a camera, gaming sensor, music controller and video recorder. Both the earphone and phone work independently and together. The concept offers an innovative way of using the phone with the added functionality of the earphones dongle. Posted: 26 Sep 2012 12:01 AM PDT Gotta love the modern Plank light fixture by Northern Lighting of Norway. The design transforms the ordinary wood plank into a thin, long and simplistic pendant that produces a directed glow that appears generated from the center. In light poplar or darker Southern yellow pine, it’s the perfect pendant for bringing a little rustic to modern spaces or modern to rustic spaces! Designer: Northern Lighting - Related posts: |
Posted: 26 Sep 2012 12:01 AM PDT The Stingray is a single-rider watercraft designed for both recreational and humanitarian uses. The buoyant saddle and lever combination is driven by a pneumatic propulsion system that converts user generated energy into air flow, transmitting thrust directly into the water without the use of gears or electric circuits. Useful as a mobile flotation device for flood disasters or simply to enjoy a day out on the water! Designer: Imran Othman - No related posts. |
Posted: 26 Sep 2012 12:01 AM PDT Using modular pieces, the well-thought Nube coffee table offers a solution for both large scale production and personal customization. By focusing on the repetitive use of a single component, the unique base is easily constructed to size specification, yet maintains an organic and fluid shape not often found in other modular designs. Furthermore, the versatile design of the base means it can be flipped upside down for an entirely new aesthetic that functions just the same! Designer: Sandro Lopez - Related posts: |
