Posted: 01 May 2012 05:48 AM PDT Chicken & Kitchen is a quirky take on timer-enabled teapots. I love the bright red rooster-esque reference to the timer feature. As easy as it says….turn the crank to set the time from 5 minutes to about an hour, and at the set minute, this chicken is sure to cluck! Ah, the pleasures of a perfectly steeped cuppa chai; hard to deny myself one! Size: 150x227x217(mm) Designer: Jin Young - Related posts: |
Posted: 01 May 2012 05:18 AM PDT Love the idea of this Telescopic Raincoat, so much so that if it ever sees the light of day, I'm buying a pack of six for my family! A strategically located drawstring near the hood folds the entire raincoat inside out to a dry bag, making it easy to carry indoors. Unfurling the coat simply requires you to shake it out. Simple and awesome! Telescopic Raincoat is a 2011 red dot design concept winner. Braille Rail for the Visually Impaired Posted: 01 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT This thoughtful design addresses the independence sought by visually impaired persons who prefer or have to get around spaces with out assistance from others. The Raynes Rail is a handrail system that features Braille messages located on the rail’s inner face. In addition to the raised messages, audio information can also be accessed at strategic locations (a tool which sighted individuals will also appreciate). Posted: 01 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT FYLM is a foldable speaker that goes anywhere you want it to go! Just millimeters thick, the flexible form can be folded and tucked away into any pocket, notebook or handbag for convenience. Simply unfold it and connect to your device for full, rich, directional sound. It’s the perfect on-the-go companion for portable audio anywhere. Genius! Designer: designaffairs - Related posts: |
Posted: 01 May 2012 12:01 AM PDT At first glance, Vela might look like nothing more than a peculiar modern sculpture, but it’s actually the first of a new breed of exercise equipment designed for the aesthetically attuned user. The design thumbs its nose at other exercise bikes that, more often than not, end up an eye-sore in many people’s living rooms. Designer: Lunar Studio - Related posts:

Posted: 30 Apr 2012 08:56 AM PDT Designed specifically for the busy streets of the Philippines, the Tarsier takes inspiration from the open-air design language of the area’s classic tourism vehicles. Customizable seating arrangements, panoramic visibility and all-electric power make it a great way to see the sights while being eco-friendly. Designer: Allen Chester Zhang - Related posts: |
